Togher Youth Resilience Project (Happy Hub)
Introduction
This youth project caters for up to 80 children between the ages of 4 to 15 years of age. The focus of the project is to provide a safe, fun, atmosphere for children living in the Deanrock Estate and surrounding areas.
The youth schools Project is funded under The Young Peoples Facilities and Services Fund (YPFSF)
‘The objective of the Fund is to attract "at risk" young people in disadvantaged areas into these facilities and activities and divert them away from the dangers of substance abuse. The target group for the Fund are 10-21 year olds who are marginalised through a combination of risk factors relating to family background, environmental circumstances, educational disadvantage, involvement in crime and/or drugs, etc.’ (http://www.corkvec.ie/youth_services/facilities_services.shtml)
