Métier Frameworks is a custom framing and art services company with twenty five years experience. Our approach is find and apply simplicity and aesthetic relevance. Framing ought to be in one sense- a natural extension of the, not mannered or laboured. this is done by selecting suitable materials for a particular work and if needed- altering them to gel to the work. To do this we don't  necessarily carry a vast range of mouldings and mountboard yet a relevant one...many of these were originated by us because we simply couldn't find them elsewhere. We were one of the first framing companies in Ireland to look seriously at conservation issues, how framing effects the condition and longevity of the artwork it supports also to improve this. Our client base is very wide, reflecting the growth in cultural awareness on the one hand, and an increased discernment & connoisseur-ship amongst collectors. Their demands are multifaceted as they are interesting. it has brought us into areas such as hanging & instillation of artwork in institutions diverse as hospitals, businesses premises, as well as domestic settings. While a lot of our work revolves around noted or valuable pieces and collections- you'll find this experience will help hugely with ordinary day to day framing requirements, opening up possibilities as well as stretching tiny budgets! We also supply proprietary glazing products, hanging & lighting systems. you can call to our studio, alternately we can come to you.

We have set up this page to give a picture of some of these activities...

18th century mounting frame..known in French as Mairie Louise. This is elegant distinctive due to the narrow laurel details over the mitres. This was a pattern common during the mid to late century though was seen on American frames much later on. Much praise to Patrick Coffey for the wonderful restoration and 'double gilding'!
