Open sessions every Monday and Wednesday 7-9pm, €5 The Circus Factory Ireland's only dedicated training space for physical performers. We provide a place for all disciplines of circus to train as well as workshops in specific physical skills. For more info come to open session Mon/Wed 7-9pm.

Aerial Silks Workshop – Improvers 7th of August 3.30-5pm Another aerial silks workshop coming up on the August bank holiday Monday with Michaela Heyer. All the info below. Remember that you must email Michaela and pay a deposit in order to confirm your space as the last few workshops booked out very quickly. As before, if you are unsure which workshop is right for you just email Michaela with some info on how much silks you have done. Cost & Booking Info €20 (€15 for members), €10 deposit Limited places so booking is essential. Email sheepysnoopy@gmail.com This workshop is aimed at those that have done a little silks before. You should be comfortable at climbing the silks and getting into a footlock from a climb. What you will learn/improve on: Different climbs. Tricks and sequences from footlock. Other base positions such as catchers and hiplock and different ways into them Conditioning exercises on the equipment to help you build up the muscles you need How the class is structured We will start with a 30 minute warm-up. Some running and jumping to get us warm & energetic and get the blood moving. Followed by some simple stretches to make sure you don't get injured on the equipment and finished off with a little bit of conditioning on the ground to wake up those muscles that are about to be used. We then move on to the equipment where we do a bit more conditioning before we start learning climbs and other tricks. What do I need to bring? Comfortable clothing such as leggings or tracksuit bottoms and a T-shirt/vest. We work barefoot on the equipment but it's up to you if you want to wear runners for the warm-up. A bottle of water. If you have never tried silks or done very little then this workshop is for you! What you will learn/improve on How to climb the silks. Safely inverting on the silks. This Thursday we are hosting our first teenage Circus Skills workshop. Suitable for ages 13 +. We will be offering tasters in lots of different skills including aerial, acrobatics, hula hoop, juggling and more.
