Art Market Cork
Description
We're kicking off a Saturday art market on Rory Gallagher Square on Paul Street during the Summer months for artists who make stuff We're kicking off a Saturday art market on Rory Gallagher Square on Paul Street during the Summer months and are looking for artists who make everything from paintings to ceramics, comics to cards, prints to sculpture. So if you're interested in selling your work at our market then read on.
We'll be running the market from 10am - 4pm every second Saturday from June - September and if you want to get involved you just have to follow the following steps:
First thing you do is go to mutantspace.com/art-market and fill out the registration form or email Rose-Anne at roseanne@goldiefish.ie and we'll let you know if you've got a spot.
There are only 20 spaces available so if you want your spot guaranteed there will be a €20 deposit per market. If you’ve booked into a market and don’t show or don't tell us then we'll have to take you off our list as we need to ensure fairness for all those interested in selling their work.
On the Friday before the market we’ll send you a text to give you a weather update, if the weather looks good we’ll go ahead, if it looks particularly bad we won’t. Having said that it'll have to be a pretty awful report to stop us trading.
If you have a vehicle set up will be from 8am each market day as we don’t want to block the area. If you are on foot set up time will be from 8.30am.
And now the particulars:
It's €20 per day.
Each pitch is 2m X 2m.
You have to bring everything with you on the day (tables, gazebo or covering if you have it). Most trestle Tables are 1.8m in length so that’s all you need. You can buy these in catering equipment shops, LIDL, Aldi, Argos etc. They're pretty cheap. If you want a double pitch (4m x 4m) let us know well in advance so that we can ensure we have the space for you.
We will collect and receipt all fees at 10am each morning of the market. So please have this ready.
Insurance
Goldiefish Events are providing insurance for this market. If you don’t have your own insurance we will ask you to sign a document stating that you will look after your own art works and you will not be covered by us. Our insurance policy consists of public liability only and will not cover your product for any damage/loss due to any circumstances. If you want to cover this you need to get your own policy.
