Congratulations to the winners of the Cootehill Library Chess Club Championship - two brothers! Padraic Clerkin triumphed at the senior level while Seamus Clerkin was on top form at Junior Level. Practise, practise, practise was the mantra of their chess teacher Tony McMahon and the boys proved that having a rival at home was good for their game! Well done to all the boys and girls who took part in the championship over the past few weeks - it was good fun for everyone. Chess Class returns in January 2017 - date to be decided.
