Parents and Guardians, BRAINS NEEDED FOR STORM Any parent or associate with interest, experience and ideas for fundraising for Mount Temple is encouraged to come to a special meeting on Thursday 1st of June at 7.30 -9 pm in the staff room to look at old and new ideas and come up with a plan. If you think you (or someone you know) can contribute to this process please come along. Let us know you will attend by emailing to pacommittee@mounttemple.ie . Ideas in writing and enquiries also welcome to that address.

Compass Annual General Meeting – 6th May, 2017 In The King’s Hospital School, Dublin from 10am to 1.30 p.m. All Compass Representatives and parents from your schools are invited to the A.G.M. AGENDA 10.00 a.m. Coffee on arrival 10.15 a.m. Welcome by Richard Brickenden (Compass President) followed by A.G.M and talk. AGM Agenda - Circulation of 2016 A.G.M. Minutes, Hon. Sec. Report 2016-2017, Hon. Treasurer’s Report & Accounts for 2016, Adoption of Accounts & President’s Report and also Election of Officers and Executive Committee for 2016-2017 We are delighted that Dr Padraig Kirk, Director, CPD for Junior Cycle, and who is spearheading this initiative, will give a talk on ‘Junior Cycle – Changing for the Better’. This talk will help to better inform parents about the new exciting way of education for Junior Cycle going forward. It is expected that parents will play a more involved role in ongoing education of their children. We would encourage parents, particularly of 1st and 2nd Year students, to attend this talk by Dr Kirk who is at the cutting edge of this educational change.
Make sure not to miss our traditional annual Mount Temple PA table quiz. 10 euro per person. Good fun, chance to win some special raffle prizes and to catch up with old friends.

Thank you very much to Dr. Bobby Smyth for a very interesting talk yesterday evening. Great advice given on parenting strategies which reduce the risk of teenagers developing alcohol and other substance abuse problems. A really enjoyable and informative evening!
