facebook.comTennis Club News: Clonakilty Tennis Club had a very exciting winter league. Three teams were entered in this competition which involved meeting teams from various parts of Munster. All teams were successful in making it to the quarter finals stage. Sadly our grade 3 ladies were beaten in Nenagh on Sunday the 25th of March where they came up against some stiff competition. The men’s grade 5 team consisting of Conor O’Sullivan, Ian Steward, Declan O’Driscoll and Joe Quinn were successful and have made it to the semi finals and will meet Nenagh at home on the 11th of March. The ladies grade 5 teams (Mags Murphy, Clare McAdams, Arran O’Driscoll and Grace O’Brien) were also victorious and will play away on the same date to either Monkstown or Ballinlough. This is a fantastic achievement for a small club that is always developing to make it this far in the competition, we wish them the very best of luck, going forward. C’mon Clon!!!
