This is the latest which was sent to me this afternoon as the rep for the Chamber; The following is the programme of works over the coming days which will complete the works: · The delineation kerb line that is waiting to go in will commence this evening and be completed by next Tuesday, 3rd May. This kerb line, like the others, will take time to dry and cure and cannot be driven on for a number of days after Tuesday, 3rd May. · The laying of the tarmacadam and final asphalt finish will take place from Astna Square to the junction at Tom Barry Way on next Tuesday, 3rd May and Wednesday, 4th May. · The laying of the tarmacadam and final asphalt finish will take place on Clarke Street, Long Quay and Tom Barry Way, next Wednesday evening, 4th May. · The laying of the tarmacadam and final asphalt finish will take place from Astna Square to Walsh’s Londis on Pearse Street, on next Thursday, 5th May and Friday, 6th May. · The laying of the tarmacadam and final asphalt finish will take place from Walsh’s Londis to Bank Corner on Pearse Street on Monday, 9th May, Tuesday 10th May and Wednesday, 11th May. · No tarmacadam or asphalt can be laid this week as ground temperatures are too low and they are predicted to rise next week which will allow the above to happen. · On Thursday, 12th May all parking will be restored to the Town. · The street furniture will be install on Thursday, 12th May and Friday, 13th May. · This, with the exception of any snagging, will complete the works in the town centre. So in short the end of the works is Friday, 13th May. In relation to this bank holiday weekend: · Wolfe Tone Street and Ashe Street will be fully open and parking available. · Pearse Street will be only open to through traffic as cars will not be able to park on Pearse Street because of the curing of the parking
