Newtownshandrum sweep the boards at annual Charleville Credit Union 2017 Schools Quiz. There was great excitement at Charleville Park Hotel recently, when Newtownshandrum won both the "A" and "B" categories in the annual Charleville Credit Union school quiz. Heartiest congratulations to Jack Hogan, Blaithin O'Connor, Marann Foley, and Daire Ryan, together with, Robert Troy, Eain O'Mahony, Eoin Tynan, and Ciaran O'Brien from Newtownshandrum National School. The very best of luck to both teams as they go forward to the Regional finals in Mallow next month. Keep studying and keeping up to date on current affairs boys and girls!

Big congratulations to Charleville's John Madigan who starred with the Munster Rugby Team in their Historic 27-14 win over the Famed New Zealand Maori's last Friday night in what was another famous occasion in a packed Thomond Park.
