I am a registered energy healing practitioner, offering Integrated Energy Therapy and Bio Energy Therapy treatments. I am based in Broad Street, Charleville.  I spent my life anxiously worrying about tomorrow, the day after, next month and next year.
I spent my life replaying scenes from yesterday, the day before, last month and last year.
What if this happens? What if I had done that?
I was stooped over carrying baggage from the past, and the efforts of dealing with constant self criticism.
It took me to the edge.
Sink or swim, I realised that if you always do what you always did, you'll always get what you always got.
I threw myself into the wonders of energy therapy. The wonders of energy. The miracle of the here and now.
And, baby steps, I am getting there.
The pieces in the jigsaw box are all facing the right way. I may never make the bigger picture, but now i know how to try.
I am beginning to smell the roses.
I am beginning to hold Infinity in the palm of my hand.
And so will you.
Come to me for an hour of serenity, relaxation and gentle calm. A one off treat.
But if you can identify with where I was, come to me for a course of three or four sessions.
Your first session will be that relaxing hour. Our energy is getting acquainted.
We will go deeper in session two, and begin to work on freeing the blockages that have inhibited you for years.
Session three will be intense, emotional and deep. We'll get it all out there.

And session four will be all about balance and harmony. Imprinting a new found spaciousness and calmness.
You carry the essence of your magnificence within you since the day you begin this journey.
Hide it no more. Allow me to let you step into the light.
Message me here about a course of sessions, or contact me on 087 4128980.
Take a leap. You will never look back.

A recent article for the Vale Star. Enjoy, and have a mighty weekend. 😊😊😊 Footsteps on the Middle Ground Sparkling dew glistens in the early morning sun. Shimmering prisms, diamond strewn ephemeral wonder. Soon the strengthening sun will burn off their majestic radiance, and it will be as if they were never here. In a day, there are so many brief moments of unutterable awe. First and last light. The graceful arc of bird flight against an azure background. Wind song through luscious folds of foliage. Fleeting notes in an eternal symphony. Splashes on a limitless, ever expanding canvas. And we are here to witness it all. Here to participate in the wondrous dance of existence. To play and to be. I mentioned in the last few articles that I was going to undertake a journey through the different aspects of ourselves. Different colours that meld to light our life. We start with being. Just being. To be. Who are you? Define yourself? Boy/girl. Woman/man. Parent/child. Partner. Widow. Employee. Employer. Student. Part of a club. Supporter of a team. Citizen of a nation. There are so many hooks on which we can hang the strands that make up our persona. Who are you? It's not a question we ask ourselves often. I am so and so. My name. My age. Where I'm from. What I do. Who I'm with. Who I am rearing. Statements. That change. Constantly. To sit and reflect on who we are can be deeply disorientating. We take ourselves to be a solid entity. But pull at the fibres and things unravel quickly. All that we take for granted is changing and can change in an instant. Many of us are so concerned with all that has to be done outside of us that we have lost sight of what is inside. There is a job to hold down. A family to rear. Family to look after in their old age. Friends to meet. Community obligations to be fulfilled. News to watch. News to worry about. Studies to complete. Training to do. All go. Frazzled. Bounced from one thing to another. That's the way of it. We go from one thing to another. Busy. Always. And if not busy, then distracting ourselves. Our days are a breakneck frenzy. And if there's nothing to be done on the outside, the manic overworking mind ensures that there is no respite. No respite, and no time to ask who am I. Who am I beyond the stock, instinctive brief biography at our disposal to share with new acquaintances. We are. Does it need to be any more than that? There is, at our very core, an emptiness, a space that is beyond defining. A place within that resonates with the majesty outside. A place that is arrested, and locked in the briefest reverie on witnessing the first rays of the morning sun, the play of moonlight on soft ocean spray, the tar squelch of starlings wheeling in the late evening twilight. We are. Everything we take ourselves to be is in constant flux. We spend our lives building walls to keep that reality from view. But we are constantly changing. All we hold dear is passing. Will pass. May have passed already. Deep, deep down we know this. So can we make peace with our passing. Instead of worrying forward, or regretting back, can we make peace with the only thing we have. Now. Can we find time, every so often, just to be. Be with as little expectation as that brilliant early morning dew. Shining to shine. You are magnificent. Beyond the labels ascribed to you. Make a little time to peel back the layers. Allow yourself the sweet freedom of stepping away for a minute or two from all the obligations. Softly gaze around and outside. Let the timeless sway of Nature move you to silence. You are that. Thank you. For energy therapy appointments call Pat Dillon, Broad Street, Charleville on 0874128980

A recent article for the Vale Star. Enjoy. 😊😊😊 Footsteps on the Middle Ground To bear witness to a new day is a blessing, a sacrament. To watch the very edge of the tapestry of night lighten and morph into the first colours of dawn is to be moved to reverence and awe. From nowhere the first flickering embers of a new chapter have been bequeathed, a canvas waiting to be filled with a countless myriad of pictures. It is the light that allows us to breathe in and process the wonder that is all around us. From inky blacks to the shadow forms of the evaporating night to the first traces of morning, we are slowly illuminated and bathed in brightness. From the dark womb of night, a new day has birthed, to stay with us a while before being enfolded again in the arms of darkness. As it is outside, so too is it inside. Mystics, great spiritual leaders talk of the light within us. The spark within us that contains the essence of who we are. A guiding light that will direct us on the journey through our days if we turn to it. A shimmering essence of perfection that was us when we first came in to the world, and is still us at our very core. Most of us, most definitely myself included, spend very little time sitting with or turning towards the light within us. From our first rousing in the morning, whether leaping out of bed to attack the day with zest, or clinging forlornly to the duvet, dreading the travails ahead, we are consumed with all that has to be done outside of us. Work, family, study, sport, travel, meetings, all that is to be done. And if a break comes in our day, or if our day empties out and we have time on our hands, we distract ourselves. Pick up our phone. Turn on the television. Seek out someone to have a chat with. Always looking outside ourselves. How often do I, we, pause, stop, take time out. Not to berate ourselves, letting the critic inside us castigate us for our countless failings. Not to daydream about all the things we are going to do, and all the wonderful outcomes ahead, once we get around to doing those things. Not to languish in torpor and inertia, afraid to let our inherent gifts blossom, our most cherished dreams take form. How often to we take time just to sit and be. With eyes closed and no expectations. Quiet refuge from the senses. A retreat to the silence that underscores our existence. Letting thoughts and voices subside. Letting our attention drop from the manic busyness of our minds to the stillness of our heart, our core, our true essence. Letting ourselves be attuned to the light within that can only glow if we close our eyes and bring ourselves to darkness. I, many of us, will do anything, absolutely anything rather than turn in. Will do anything rather than drop the frequency below the competing commentaries of the mind. Allow ourselves become familiar with a language without words. Allow us to be guided by the light within us. As it is outside, so too is it inside. Light is made up of seven colours. The work I do is framed around to concept that those seven colours relate to different aspects of ourselves. When we attend to each of these colours, each of these strands of our personalities, we work towards reaching our full potential. When we shower attention and love on each colour of our spectrum, we allow ourselves to give expression to the very best of us. From dawn to dusk we rely on light to navigate our way. There is a light within us that will guide us on our journey if we turn towards it, and attend to it. Over the course of the next few weeks, I will undertake a journey through the different aspects of ourselves, the different colours that fill the palette of our existence. We are light. There is no limit to how brightly we can shine. Thank you. For Energy Therapy appointments call Pat Dillon, 12 Broad Street, Charleville on 0874128980

Recent article from the Vale Star. Have a lovely weekend. 😊😊😊 Footsteps on the Middle Ground Outside, a gorgeous morning has emerged from the shimmering mid summer mists. Vivid, vibrant light from a strong sun adds a clarity, a depth, a richness to Nature's palette. A symphony of birdsong is carried on a light breeze from the hedgerows and the meadows. The promise of the day ahead carries echoes and traces of glorious summer days of the past. Another braid to add to the tapestry of memories to be invoked at another time. What elevates days like these is their rarity. Blue skies, light breezes, heat. Soon, clouds will form, scud across the sky, lowering the tones. Rains will soak the hard ground and the habitual summer softness will take hold. For now though, we have a glimpse of Summer in all her majesty. The birds even seem to have found another octave. Now feels close to heaven. As it is outside, so very often is it inside. Glimpses of light, of hope, of perfection, of peace amidst the habitual trials of our daily routines. Fleeting moments of clarity and calm that sustain us in our efforts to navigate our days. For many of us, the comfort and respite these glimpses afford are as rare as the perfect Irish summers day. Many of us spend our lives in a monochrome of various shades of grey. What I, many of us, fail to realise is that beyond the clouds of our mind, there is a light, an energy, a presence that never changes. An unconditional source of comfort, respite, sustenance and healing that is waiting for us to turn towards. With the non judgmental love of a parent towards its young child, that energy can envelope us in it's inexpressible power, without question or favour. I am blessed and privileged to work with that energy. In a way I can't express, transformation, comforting, healing is channelled through me to whoever is open to it. That power, energy, found me when I was at my lowest ebb. And I still, every so often, am tossed and oscillate and crash towards the shores where those low ebbs wait. But, thankfully, it doesn't impact on my ability to share that amazing energy. In fact, it arms me with the empathy and compassion to share space with whoever finds their way up the stairs to me. Every one of us carry the potential for perfection within us. We were born perfect. And at our core we still are. Conditioning, circumstances, traumas, losses may have obscured our innate majesty. But, within us, we contain the seeds that can blossom in to the very best we can be. All we need to do is be attentive and nurture those seeds. Over the course of the next few weeks, in a series of short articles, I will look at ways in which we can attend to ourselves so that we can bring about tangible improvements in our lives. I have shared this approach here before, and look forward to sharing some insights here again. For now, for those of you who feel weighed down by worries, or for whom life is not how you would like it to be, know that beyond the darkness that closes in on you, there is an inexhaustible source of light that can and will sustain and invigorate you. Today the sun greets us from a cloudless sky. These days are few and far between for those of us in this part of the world. But that sun never leaves us. And the power, love and support of an indescribable presence never leaves us either. I look forward to sharing ways to strengthen the light in all of our lives in the weeks ahead. Thank you. First few words in a while for the Vale Star. The article might illuminate why. I don’t do what I do because I’m perfect. I can heal others because I’m broken myself. But, as a wise man said, its through the cracks that the light gets in, and out. So, have a read. If the words resonate, and you’d like to know more about how energy therapy can help you, get in touch. It’s all good. 😊😊😊 Footsteps on the Middle Ground Rain laden clouds scud across a low sky. The early morning sun has been obscured, and Nature opens herself to receive more rain from the heavens. A cacophony of sound greets the arrival of a new day. The enthusiasm and fervour of the dawn chorus impervious to whether it is hot, cold, dry or wet. The day brightens, the world rouses herself and life goes on. It's been a while since I shared words here. It's not that I don't have anything to say. Rather, at times, it feels like I don't have the capacity to express myself. The work I do found me because of the way I am, and because of the way I am, there are going to be times when it seems impossible to put one word in front of the other. Energy therapy is an amazing, powerful, transformative process that removes blockages that are impacting the quality of life, physically, emotionally, mentally. In my work I have the capacity to empty myself of my personality, my concerns, my worries, and bring through the healing energy for whoever needs it. I can park those concerns, worries, anxieties and tensions while the session takes place, and foster the healing process. However, though I am a healer, that does not mean that I am a healed, whole, perfect paragon of virtue. I am human, flawed, hurt, anxious, worried, tense. I procrastinate, feel stuck, condemn myself, compare myself unfavourably to others. I do not have to descend from a pedestal of perfection to work with whoever comes up the stairs to me. Given the way I am, and have been, I understand, and know intimately the dark roads and by-ways that many find themselves on. I understand what it's like to be caught in the myriad mazes of the mind. Cascading thoughts that never stop. Projecting, looking back, worrying, regretting. I understand what it's like to feel isolated, even in the middle of a crowd. I know what it's like to paint a brave face to mask the emptiness, yearning, pain. I wouldn't be doing what I am doing if I did not veer of the path's that I was on. It is a deep blessing, honour and privilege to share the hard earned insights I have with whoever comes to me. It is a deeper blessing to be able to share the powerful, healing energy with whoever is ready to receive it. And if the price I have had to pay is the periods of darkness I have had to endure, then so be it. For those of you suffering in silence, I want to tell you that you are not alone. For those of you weighed down by the effort of trying to fit in and function in a world that seems alien to the calling of your heart and soul, I want to tell you that you are not alone. For those of you who bear the deep wounds of loss, grief, trauma, unspeakable hurt, I want to tell you that you are not alone. For those of you who are addled, anxious, stressed, confused I want to tell you that you are not alone. Energy therapy found me when I was at my lowest ebb. And like the tides, I can and do drift to lows. Thankfully those lows don't impact the energy that comes through me, the healing that is effected by that amazing energy. So, if life is not how you would like it to be at the moment, and perhaps has not been for a while, get in touch on the number below. I may not have all the answers. But I am an empathetic ear, that empathy carved and deepened by the buffetings on my own journey. You are not alone. The birds at dawn sing their beautiful song whether the sun shines or not. You don't have to wait till conditions are perfect before you take action to lead the life you deserve to lead. Maybe, in a strange way, suffering has it's place. Healing does too. You are innately perfect. Perhaps energy therapy can show you that, and lead you back to the very best of yourself. Thank you.

Thank you.

This week’s article from the Vale Star. Have a lovely Sunday........😊😊😊 Footsteps on the Middle Ground From nowhere, the very edge of darkness if fringed with the faintest light. Black softens to velvet and the eastern palette brightens, imperceptibly. To sit at dawn, with eyes to see and heart to feel, is a deep blessing. To surrender the senses so as to witness the birth of a new day can be akin to placing ourselves at a Master's feet. Lessons are transmitted, if we choose to hear them. The rose emits it's fragrance irrespective of who is there to smell it. Morning emerges from the womb of night, without fanfare, irrespective of who is there to see it. Effortless, unforced, unaffected, the light emerges, sharpens, brightens and casts a glow on a sleeping world. Nature is illuminated, and begins to rouse herself. Without thought, plan, scheme or structure, the gift of a new day has been delivered. A new pearl strung on the necklace of eternity. A treasure obscured by it's familiarity. Shimmering lustre of a new day. Bequeathed to us, and, ephemeral, fleeting, by evening absorbed back in to the dark embrace. A day. A life. Passing. A day. Pristine. Empty. A tabernacle within which the entirety of existence plays out. Boundless, formless field of dreams and possibilities. Many of us have become inured, separated, oblivious to the sacrament that is bestowed upon us every morning. Caught in the busyness and business of the world outside. Senses snared and incarcerated in service to the next thing that needs to be done, or the legacy of what has already happened. Projections forward. Reflections back. The burdens of the past and the weight of expectation pushing down on us. Voraciously fuelling and filling our minds with distractions, chatter, fantasies, memories, desires. Adding to our already heavy load. Weighed down by a persona that has been thrust upon us, our eyes cast down on the road ahead. I don't write here to admonish those of you enmeshed in the nets of the overthinking mind. I don't write here to criticize you for sleepwalking through your day without really seeing what is at your feet. I write here because for a few intangible achingly brief seconds I have seen beyond the veil of illusion. At the birth of new life. On a mountain walk when the song of the universe pierced my soul and moved me to a silence beyond words. And because I have had glimpses, the frustrations at the folly of how I and most of us navigate our way from day to day is heightened. Ignorance is bliss. What we don't have we don't miss. But for the briefest instant, a mystery, a state beyond words was revealed. The presence, the emptiness, the pristine perfection beyond description arrested my mind and moved me to deep stillness. One awe filled instant turned my whole life upside down. Confronted with a gateway to a dimension I don't have the capacity to articulate, a mirror was held up to show the possibility of a different way of being. A state of peace, stillness, silence. A sense that if we truly get our of our way, the capacity for integrating with the majesty of the universe is available to all of us. That is why most of my writing in these short articles is alludes to the effortless, primordial magnificence of the world around us. Nature can teach us so much, if we have the eyes to see, the ears to hear and the heart to feel. The wonders of the dawn, the flowers in the field, the graceful flight of birds. All are instruments of understanding. All whisper of a deep trust in allowing life to unfold as it will. Trust. Many, perhaps most of us, have lost the powerful innocence we see in the small children in our lives. Most of us have become caught up in the machinations of our overactive minds. Plotting, planning, desiring, regretting, reminiscing. And yet, all around us, life is unfolding beautifully. A heavenly symphony playing out without any intervention from us. Those notes from eternity are available to all of us. Who knows the sounds, the sights, the insights, the whisperings that await us if we are moved to allow them be revealed to us. My wish, hope is that we take time to step off the treadmill for a little bit, and just be. Move to silence, quieten our minds and, without agenda, see what transpires. Nature is the most wonderful, caring, powerful teacher. May we be open to her wisdom, and trust the lessons she imparts. Thank you. This week’s article. Have a great day. 😊😊😊 Footsteps on the Middle Ground We live in a world of duality. Good and bad. Night and day. Winning and losing. Black and white. Up and down. Happiness and sadness. We tend to oscillate from one polarity to another. Our team wins. We are happy. Our team loses we are down. Someone praises us. Our heart expands. Someone ignores us or denigrates us. Our heart constricts. Many of us are buffeted from one state to another. Totally reactive. Our mood, outlook, dictated by external factors. The climate of our consciousness set by factors beyond our control. At the mercy of the maelstrom and vicissitudes of life. A raft tossed from wave of emotion to wave of emotion. Settling in the calm between the crests, until torpor sets in and we seek more drama or distraction to shake us up again. Those external forces carve, erode, mould our personality, our persona, the mask we put on to meet the people that we meet. They chip away, carving an outlook, a character, a world view. Slow work. The monotony of repetition shading the contours of our existence. However, there is a far more powerful, corrosive, elusive force working on us, forming us, modulating and controlling the quality of our lives. A force that, ironically, is so prevalent, all consuming and pervasive that most of us are not aware of it. A force that's very omnipotence keeps it from registering on our radar. A presence, a soundtrack that underscores every moment of our days and nights. The voice in our head. The critic. The commentator. The conductor. The filter. A voice that was formed from the second we came in to this world, pristine and perfect. A blank page, a dry sponge. The notes in the repertoire of our scale imparted by the environments we found ourselves in. And so, for most of us, our frames of reference, the lens of our perception has been created before we were capable of discernment, of choice. Our level of self determination, our capabilities, our potential are very often dependent on what the world pours in to us in our earliest years. Our resilience, or lack of, our determination, or lack of, our work ethic, or lack of, our self belief or lack of hard wired into our system before we have the capacity to consent or choose. That is not to say that we can use that as an excuse or a pass to justify how we are now. We can come to a place where we can alter the climate of our lives ourselves. We can come to a place where we can transcend the restrictions within which we have operated up to now. We can, most importantly, move into awareness. Awareness that there is a voice in our head, our mind that totally controls the quality of our life. That voice is an amalgamation of influences that seeped into our consciousness ever before we can remember. We don't blame those who imparted those influences, whether they be parents, guardians, grandparents, siblings, teachers, priests, cartoon characters, little friends. We don't blame. We forgive. We understand. Everybody and every factor that moulded you then was operating from the level of consciousness that they were at at that time. From awareness, we are presented with the gift of choice. We can choose to continue on the path we are on. Our self esteem, self worth, self confidence determined by a world view that is not ours. Or we can turn in. Stop. Challenge. Challenge the veracity of the constant commentary. Confront the validity of the words, stories and automatic responses that frame the portrait of our existence. We can beginning mining and prospecting in the hope of finding the rich seam of our authentic Self. A Self that has always been there. Untainted, unblemished, unaffected, impervious to any outside influence. A Self that is shrouded in the sanctity of silence. A Self that is secreted in the sacredness of the present moment. A Self that is entombed in the eternal Now. We don't have to go to the end of the earth to begin that excavation. We can just turn in. Stop, sit, quieten and listen to a faint melody that sings of the truth of us. Beyond anything that can be conceived by the narrow conditioning of our externally constructed persona. Sometimes the storms rage so wildly, the waves crash so loudly that we are flung on to an unfamiliar shore. The ravages of the winds of our mind drive us to seek refuge. The chaos of the torrent of condemnation and criticism can compel us to look at things with different eyes. Can cause us to question the very foundations of us. Allow yourself to be carried to that unfamiliar shore. The outline of your truth. Allow yourself to glimpse the primordial majesty of you. You who are not the voices and limitations of your mind. We all carry a treasure beyond measure within us. May we have the fortitude, the awareness, the grace, the hunger to begin looking for it. You are not alone............. This week’s article for the Vale Star. Enjoy, and have a lovely weekend. 😊😊😊 Footsteps on the Middle Ground Outside, Nature is held in the embrace of the darkest hour. No thing is stirring. All is quiet, resting, sleeping. Soon though, imperceptibly, the first slivers of light will encroach the vast inky tapestry and the world will awaken. Night will recede. A new day has birthed. From the east the sun will began it's graceful arc across the skies. The reassuring eternal rhythm scoring the soundtrack of our lives. And yet, that sun, that majestic, dynamic whirl of energy that fuels our existence, is not moving at all. The apparent rising, setting and trajectory across the heavens is an illusion. Held high in the firmaments, it is us who are moving around the glorious orb. We rotate daily from dark to light. The seasons are dictated by the progress around the circumference of our connection to our nearest star. Our hours, weeks, months and years are calibrated in relation to a gravitational pull. If we choose to contemplate our place here, it can be truly disorientating. Conventions, comforting assumptions crumble before our introspection. If we can't even rely on the sun over our head, what truth's can we hold on to? If things aren't as clear as day, how do we navigate a course through our lives. Most of us won't open the pandora's box of deep inspection. Our lives have proceeded in a manner that does not cause us to question the very purpose and vagaries of existence. More of us though, whether through grace, curiosity, or most likely, suffering are drawn, compelled or forced to stop. Look around. Try to make sense of what can seem a senseless world, a senseless existence. More of us seem to be hearing a different rhythm to most, stepping or stumbling out of time, out of synch. Unwilling or unable to stay within the groove that houses most. These words may appear strange to most. They may not resonate. Notes that jar most sensibilities. These words are not for most. They are for those of us who have spent time on the sidelines. Stuck. Confused. Feeling different. Lost. Empty. Square pegs trying to force ourselves in to round holes. These words are for those of you, those of us, who are struggling to find meaning where most seem able to find meaning. It's very important to say that you are not alone in your loneliness. You see things in a different way. Trauma, loss, grief, abuse may have forced you to look at things in a different way. You are not alone. You are not alone in your loneliness. You feel things in a different way. Trauma, loss, grief, abuse may have forced you to feel things in a different way. You are not alone. You are not alone in your loneliness. Look at things we take totally for granted. The sun in the sky. Night and day. The most basic foundations of our time here. Look at them. An illusion. Servants to a power beyond our comprehension. A power that keeps us within the sphere of influence, the embrace of the source of the energy that fuels our existence. A power that holds and roots us to the earth beneath our feet. That power courses around, through, and within all of us. Not some of us. All of us. Available to all of us, waiting for us to turn toward it, acknowledge it, merge with it. These words are for those of you who look and feel things in a different way. You are not alone. There are many agencies out there who will listen to you. Speak to them. There are many agencies out there who will console you. Let their compassion in. There are many agencies out there who will share concrete solutions to help you find your way back to where you deserve to be. Let them guide you. Underneath it all though, there is a power, a source, beyond words. If what's outside you leaves you feeling disillusioned, empty, lost, you are not alone. It may be time to look somewhere else. Look deeply within. We may not be able to rely on the most basic things we take for granted. Within we carry the source, the answer, the light to guide us to the truth of ourselves. You are not alone. Seek help outside. But know that all you need is inside you, at your very core. You may not see or feel that now. But know that if and when you are ready, that power, comfort, light is there for you. You are never alone.
