Muckno Community Partnership is the community organisation responsible for the management & development of our beautiful Lough Muckno Park, Castleblayney & it's environs.
Lough Muckno Park, Castleblayney is undoubtedly the Jewell of Co. Monaghan. Set on 900 acres of wooded terrain alongside the idyllic Lough Muckno, it is the perfect destination for a family day and is also a fisherman's paradise.
Facilities include picnic areas, a choice of walking trails, Wilbert's Enchanted Garden Children's Playpark, Adventure Land & Water-sports including canoeing, water-skiing, wakeboarding, over 100 fishing pegs, and lots of free parking.
Nestled alongside Lough Muckno, the lake itself is the largest and most beautiful of Monaghan’s lakes with spectacular views of the surrounding area.
The two wooded islands both Black and White Island have excellent activities such as orienteering, nature walks/trails, water skiing and wakeboard club, coarse fishing, peace garden and picnic areas.
Castleblayney town itself hosts many festivals with Lough Muckno Park used as a venue for the Muckno Mania Festival and the annual triathlon.
The water skiing club is the host for many national and international competitions.
Lough Muckno also has a full calander fishing competitions. Major angling access works have been undertaken making Lough Muckno a world class international standard angling venue.
