Promoting, supporting and enabling volunteerism across Tipperary. Our primary function is to match individuals and groups interested in volunteering with appropriate volunteering opportunities. To do this, we offer advice and support to both volunteers and volunteer-involving organisations through a range of services that include information provision, consultation, training and Garda Vetting.
The Tipperary Volunteer Centre provides an invaluable link between individuals wishing to undertake voluntary activity and organisations seeking to involve volunteers. We believe passionately in the value of volunteering and the benefits of volunteering for all: the individual, the volunteer-involving organisation and the wider society.
In addition to placing volunteers, we stimulate and encourage volunteering by promoting volunteering at a local level in Tipperary. We work towards breaking down the barriers to volunteering and target specific groups of people who are under- or unrepresented in volunteering. We develop volunteering opportunities through consultation with local voluntary and community organisations and recognise the potential of volunteering. We encourage groups and organisations to think creatively about volunteering and to develop imaginative, non-traditional opportunities for potential volunteers.
In addition, the TIpperary Volunteer Centres offers tailored and bespoke volunteer management training to interested groups and organisations.

Age Friendly Roscrea is looking for an IT person to help them set up their IT infrastructure at their centre in the courthouse in Roscrea. Tipperary Volunteer Centre were delighted to attend this great community event in Ballygraigue last week. These fantastic community initiatives were organised by Clúid Housing who worked in partnership with North Tipperary Community Services, North Tipperary Leader Partnership, the Community Substance Misuse Team and all the local community in Ballygraigue Court & Ormond Drive, Nenagh to host a series of spring events. Well done to all involved.
