Recommending to many people. Spotless house and beautifully decorated with the best location. Perfect for our group of 3 generations and we have been recommending to many people. We found the Brian Boru pub very hospitable with fantastic live music in the evenings and the children loved Morelli"s Italian. After a long while in the car we decided the best way to Dublin for the day was on a train from Thurles railway station. This took us into Dublin very easily in 1 hour 20 minutes, where we jumped onto a tram right into the centre. Salad bar at Supervalu is lovely. All round amazing hospitality from Kathleen and everyone we met.

The perfect Location We came to Cashel to visit family and do so relatively often, and find it hard to get a place in the town so we mostly end up staying in surrounding villages or just outside Cashel..........This house is in the perfect position and makes it so easy to walk into town. The Town has some great places to eat, and some nice pubs and shops. The house itself is really well equipped and caters very well for everyone's needs. We have a teenager and a 12 year old. Our 12 year old was kept very entertained by the range of films, books and games. He also found the jacuzzi bath brilliant. The kitchen is very good for cooking simple meals as it has all the basic equipment you need. The house is very nicely decorated and was absolutely spotless when we arrived. Overall we had a very good stay and would definitely stay here again. Thanks for the food and wine left out for us when we arrived.

We have enjoyed our time in. Cashel. We loved the pubs....our favorite was Ryan's and for food fahy's. We visited Kilkenny, Clonmel and Thurles. Kilkenny had a great atmosphere and we loved the shops in Clonmel. The house is very comfortable with lots of space, great when traveling with extended family as there is room for everyone. Great location near the rock and the town.

The welcome.......Beautiful welcoming fire when we arrived (on a cold, wet night). Flowers etc. lovely touch and very welcoming. Great stay - very comfortable and easy to organize. Had a battering by Hurricane Barney for a couple of days during our stay which was exciting! And a fantastic session in Gormans Bar up in Thurles, great music and warm hospitality. Left our Mark in Dualla .......Tim Potts London Oak Frame Carpentry.

The Perfect Holiday House. This has been the perfect holiday house for us. We are In Cashel visiting relatives. There is plenty of room for our family of four plus grandparents. The house is very well appointed and has been tastefully decorated. We have been very comfortable here and feel Castle Ivy Lodge has been a real Home from Home.

Another great review Accommodation to be highly recommended. Great facilities (SPECIAL MENTION TO ALL THE COMFY BEDS) Having stayed in a few cottages around this area this has been the best. Local amenities easily accessible and excellent. Lots of good places to eat and drink. Supermarket within easy walking distance. The Rock and other walks and places of interest have been a joy. Having an elderly family member with us, the downstairs bedroom and ensuing were an absolute asset. This is a great place to come back to, whether you have been out for a full day or whether you want to chill out for the day and stay close by {leaving the car behind}. The Cashel Woolen store was a surprising find.....lots of good quality items as well as knick knacks and very friendly staff. Speaking of the locals, they were very welcoming - would love to come and stay again.

Some reviews from our guests about our Castle Ivy Lodge and Cashel Delightful stay in lovely surroundings - the walk up to Cashel Rock, popping into town and strolling around town all very pleasant. Who would have thought that THE first Guinness was brewed in the Palace Hotel?? Spearman"s Bakery is great for coffee and fresh baked cakes and bread. Bakery across road - The Bake House - has great salad bar. Baileys restaurant has local sourced food and good disabled access. All in all a lovely week.
