Early in June the parishioners of the parishes of Fahan Upper and Lower and the wider community walked up Gollan Hill. As well as this being great exercise we collected donations for the RNLI. A cheque was handed over to John McCarter of the RNLI recently by a number of those who participated. Well done to all!! See you next year!!

As we approach the summer, our Sunday School will not be meeting again until September. So that we can recognise all the hard work of the parishioners in teaching and attending the Sunday school over the past year there will be a joint service of celebration (Buncrana and Fahan) this Sunday 25th June at 10.30am in Christ Church Buncrana. There will be NO service in Fahan this Sunday. Please come and support our young people, their families and the people who give so generously of their time and talents to teach them about the good news of the Gospel.

DON'T FORGET! This Saturday afternoon the annual afternoon tea and cake sale will be held in the Church of Ireland Church Hall, Fahan from 2 - 5pm. There will be the usual array of cakes and other goodies to try with your cup of tea and there will be lots of delicious fayre to buy as well. Come and join us for this community event.

STOP PRESS!! This Sunday (11 June) there will be NO service in Christ Church Buncrana. This is because the Bishop is coming to our group of parishes confirm 3 of our young people from Fahan and Buncrana. The service will be held in St Mura's Fahan at 11am. Please come and join us and support our young people who have prepared very enthusiastically for their confirmation and then stay for chat and a celebratory cup of tea in the Church Hall!

Tomorrow night (Tuesday 6 June) at 7.30pm there will be a contemporary worship service in the Church Hall Buncrana. The theme will be Pentecost and the coming of the Holy Spirit. Please come and join us as we worship in a fresh way and stay for a cuppa afterwards. See you there!

We had a truly wonderful afternoon! The community joined with the parishioners of Fahan Upper and Lower to walk up Gollan Hill in aid of the RNLI. About 70 people of all ages (and some dogs!) turned out on a beautiful afternoon and were rewarded with a fantastic clear view from the top across the Swilly in all directions. A BBQ at the church later finished off a great event. Thank you to everyone who came and walked and those who stayed behind to take care of the BBQ!

There will be a contemporary worship service in the Church Hall in Buncrana on Tuesday 6 June at 7.30pm when the theme will be the Holy Spirit. This will be the final Contemporary Worship Service until September so come along and bring your friends so that we can finish of the year on a high!!

Sponsored walk up Gollan Hill and BBQ! On Sunday 4 June at 3pm, we as a group of parishes and the wider community are walking up Gollan Hill in aid of the RNLI. So get on your walking shoes and get some sponsorship if you can (you can get sponsor sheets from Rev Judi, John McCarter or Anne Moore), and bring your friends and family! Arrangements are that you can park your car at Noeleen / David Walkers, in Fahan and walk to the cross. When you collect your car please come and join together for a BBQ at St Mura's church! This week to celebrate The Ascension of Jesus we will be having a service in Christ Church Buncrana at 10am on Thursday 25 May. All welcome. Please come and join us

COMEN AND JOIN US AT OUR MONTHLY CONTEMPORARY WORSHIP!!! On Tuesday night this week there will be a contemporary service in the Church Hall in Buncrana at 7.30pm. The theme will be "Transforming". Everyone welcome and there will be light refreshments after the service.

Just a reminder that the a service of morning prayer this Sunday (30th April) will be at the usual time of 10.30am in Christ Church Buncrana

Easter Day was an amazing highlight this year in Christ Church Buncrana. After a Holy Week filled with emotion we welcomed Easter Day with a beautifully decorated Church! The empty tomb in the Easter Garden reminded us of the Risen Christ. The Cross that was made from our Christmas tree was decorated with "Resurrection Butterflies" made by the Pupils of St Mura;s National School Buncrana. Another reminder of new life and new hope in all its beauty. Thanks to everyone who helped to decorate the church and to everyone who came to share in our Easter celebrations!.
