Bray Adult Education Centre
Description
Courses tailored to suit both those seeking accreditation and those who are making the sometimes difficult re-entry into the education system. Bray Adult Education Centre (BAEC) is situated on the grounds of Presentation College Bray County Wicklow. The Centre exists to provide a second chance in education to adult learners. For the past decade and a half it has seen some of the most significant developments in education in Bray. Today there are over 150 students attending a variety of certified courses at BAEC. Subjects include Science, History, Information Technology (including Comp TIA A+), Childcare Studies, Art, Metalwork, Woodwork and ESOL. The Centre also exists to profile and promote student work. Why don't you come into the Centre and see whether it has the course for you? Please visit our website for full course listings and details.
The full-time courses are funded by The Vocational Training Opportunities Scheme (VTOS), while the part-time courses are funded by The Back to Education Initiative (BTEI). VTOS offers adults the chance to get a useful education by learning things that they have missed out on or re-learn things that they have forgotten. Students are encouraged to apply for funding as soon as they find a suitable course. The places on each course are, of course, limited. You can download the Centre's prospectus and course application form from the website. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the Centre.

The BAEC Art/ Craft/ Design Exhibition this year is a celebration of students' work past and present. It will be hung in the Signal Gallery on January 8th and runs through till January the 21st. We are asking everyone who is interested in taking part to email photos of a maximum of three pieces to joannabrennan@kwetb.ie or elainefinnerty@kwetb.ie by November 14th. A team of 3 art teachers will then select items for exhibition and let everyone know when and where to submit them. The number of works exhibited by each participant will depend on availability of space. We are so looking forward to it! Many thanks, Joanna.
Calling all BAEC Art/Craft/Design students past and present, would you like the opportunity to exhibit in our upcoming exhibition in the Signal Art Gallery? If you are interested please send a message and we will pass on more information.
