A festival of one act plays which takes place on the last week in January every year, in the Mermaid Arts Centre in Bray  Tues 26th Jan - Sat 30th Jan in the Mermaid Arts Centre Bray starting at 8pm Sharp.3 performances each evening compete for the awards presented on the last night.

Its BRAY ONE ACT DRAMA FESTIVALOPENING NIGHT....Welcome to the 40th one....we cant wait. Opening the festival this evening is Maeve Miller's Bray School of Speech and Drama who will perform a David Foxton's drama "After the Picnic". Mr Sands Youth Theatre will follow with a Comedy/Drama by Douglas Maxwell "Too Fast". And the final group on this evening is East Glendalough School who will perform a drama by Nick Dean called "Lunch in Venice". A big GOOD LUCK to all the groups opening our festival this evening.

Bray One Act Drama Festival

A wonderful piece by Georgia Ferguson from St Gerard's School, winners of the Youth awards in the Bray One act Festival last year....The youth night is the first night of the festival (Tuesday 24th Jan) this year we welcome Bray School of Speech and Drama, Mr Sands YT and East Glendalough school....

What a wonderful night at the launch of the 40th Bray One Act Drama Festival. Back where it all began in the Parochial hall. Friendships renewed, stories retold, laughs a plenty, a glass of wine or two and that birthday cake!!! If the launch is anything to go by...it's going to be a hell of a 40th festival. A big thank you to all the hard working committee....

This time 40 years ago the first meetings for the Bray One Act Drama festival were taking place in Fred And Dorothy Lee's house in Sidmonton Square. Plans were underway for the first ever festival! Now plans are underway to celebrate those wonderful 40 years....watch this space!
