Description
Linda Kelly is an Offaly based Visual Artist and Jewellery Designer. Her studio is based in the heartlands of the midlands. Linda Kelly is contemporary visual artist and designer with a ten year track record in jewellery and product design. In 2013 she graduated in Fine Art from GMIT and is now exhibiting as an emerging artist, as well as continuing to show her extensive ranges of jewellery and wall-hung craftwork.
Originally trained as a Montessori teacher, Kelly has taught children's art classes since 1998 and has worked extensively in the community. She now specialises in using art, craft and design to work with adults with intellectual disabilities.
Kelly is part of the 6Art group, established by six emerging artists in 2012, and has exhibited in Aras an Chontae, Tullamore, and Birr Vintage and Arts Week, where she has also had an annual solo exhibition for the past four years. She sells craftwork from her own studio and via Core craft and design outlet, Ballinahown, and is currently the chairperson of the Offaly Crafty Collective.
