Description
Marlins SC provides coached swim sessions to help children reach the best of their abiltiy. The club is affiliated with both Swim Ireland and Swim Ulster. Marlin’s SC is a swimming club based in Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal, affiliated to Swim Ireland and Swim Ulster. We offer the opportunity for swimmers to train within a club setting to improve their swim ability on a competitive level. Marlins SC Coaches are level 1 & 2 qualified and coach within the club on a volunteer basis.

The third and final Swim Ulster Qualifying Meet took place last weekend in Bangor Aurora in which nine Marlins SC swimmers competed, great swims and pb's from Anna McCaffery, Brett McLean, Clodagh O'Connor, Cian Rooney, Cora Rooney, Darragh Summerville, Hannah Gilmartin, Lauren McHugh and Oisin Kehoe. Irish Division 2 times were secured by Brett, Lauren, Hannah & Oisin, while Clodagh & Darragh acheived their Div 2 times for the first time, well done to them. Cian & Cora secured Irish National Championship (Division 1) qualifying times while Anna acheived another Div 1 time last weekend in 100m Breastroke. Next meet for Cora and Anna is Ulster Age Group Championships in June while Mona, Mouric and Cian prepare for Irish Open LC Championships next month👌

A busy weekend ahead for Marlins SC...all hands on deck!🏊 The weekend kicked off by Oisin Kehoe at the SU Qualifying Meet in Bangor taking on his 1st 800m race with a great PB and placing 3rd...Oisin will be joined by his fellow swimmers on Sat & Sun ...Good luck to all - Oisin, Hannah Gilmartin, Anna McCaffrey, Lauren McHugh, Brett McLean, Cian & Cora Rooney, Clodagh O'Connor and Darragh Summerville🏊 While at home in Ballyshannon Leisure Centre, the SWML team Marlins compete in what will be exciting swims against Sligo SC - Best of luck to all club swimmers #swimfast!👌

Fantastic 50m Breastroke FINAL from Mona finishing in a PB of 30.87 and has set a NEW IRISH SENIOR RECORD..... straight into an exciting 50m breaststroke skins....fighting to the end placing second in the skins...amazing swimming, strength, power, speed = 🇮🇪Mona McSharry🇮🇪 What an end to her weekend...well done Ireland!🇮🇪
