Hoping everyone survived the #beastfromtheeast last week! Here's a little update for all of our wonderful followers on the animals we treated in our latest Live Video Stream. Spencer and Toby the spinal cases are both getting stronger day by day, and are receiving a lot of well deserved TLC from all of our dedicated staff here at NOAH. To learn more about the benefits of acupuncture please feel free to give the clinic a call on 832 28 43 and speak with one of our staff members. Rosie has started a new treatment programme to manage her allergies, early days yet but will post an update in a few weeks time to let you all know how she is doing! Oliver the hamster had his surgery and it was very successful, unfortunately poor Oliver died 5 hours after recovering from anaesthesia. Our deepest sympathies to his owners ❤️ Molly the persian is responding well to treatment and her eye condition has improved greatly. And Jessie underwent a surgery to remove her troublesome anal glands which went very well! To see a photo of the removed anal glands please view the comments below this post.

On the sunny Friday morning of the 2nd of June, Beag the chihuaha seemed quite subdued and out of sorts to her owners Julie and Lynn. However she had went for a ramble around the block with Julie that morning and seemed fine throughout. Later that afternoon their mother had begun to put Beag's harness on for another walk when she let out a painful cry. She was a lot slower and more cautious on this walk. When Lynn came home that evening and went to pick Beag up she screeched out in pain again. She was then rushed to the vet straight away. By the time they arrived Beag had already lost the power in her back legs and could no longer stand up. Beag was referred straight to Dr.McCartney in NOAH with a suspected spinal injury. Dr.McCartney carried out an MRI scan on Beag and she was diagnosed with a lumbar disc extrusion; a serious spinal injury requiring an emergency surgery. After a very successful surgery Beag then began rehabilitation at our sister clinic Malahide Veterinary Clinic, where she underwent physio and hydrotherapy using our in-house under water treadmill. We were delighted to receive an update from Beag's wonderful owners, check out the video below to see Beag's progress!
