'Broderick Revisited' re-imagines the Athlone author's life and relationship with his home town through dramatic monologues by Jason Gill and brought to life by Brian Toolan. Other contributors to the Athlone Community Radio production include Harry Smith, Gearoid O'Brien and local group Poetry in the Park. All are welcome on the night.

Fancy getting involved in our next production? Now's your chance 📣🎚️⭐ Auditions for “The Way You Look Tonight” by Niall Williams will be held in the theatre on Tuesday 14th November at 7.30pm. The play is directed by Chrissie Keane and will run in the theatre towards the end of February. All are welcome. Even if you are not interested in acting there will be roles to fill in the backstage or just come along for the experience. This is what it's about: The way you look tonight is a play about love. Set in a rural post office in West Clare, where the old telephone exchange has just been disconnected, it tells the story of the postmaster Jim and his wife Katherine, who were once amateur ballroom dancers before illness stilled their dancing. It explores the breakdown in communications within the family and the mother’s attempt to reopen them even as her health disimproves. It is also a play about their three children, now gone about the world but connected still by dreams and guilt and the invisible lines of love that tie us to our parents. We're looking for the following cast: Katherine Age 50 – 60 Jim, husband 50 – 60 Francis, son 20 – 40 Nora, daughter 20 – 40 Ger, daughter 20 - 40 Why not give it a go?

Three quality actors and one quality director bring you Elaine Murphy's "Little Gem" this November. Seriously, this is one you really don't want to miss!
Thumbs up 👍 to Shannon Dry Cleaners in Athlone who have offered to dry clean the fabulous costumes from "The Second Mrs Tanqueray" for free! Athlone Little Theatre is a registered charity, and most of the work is done by volunteers, so we really appreciate this vote of support ✅ We hope that you in turn will support this local business - after all they're almost our nearest neighbours!
Really lovely acting last night from the leads, Laura and Frank with excellent support and ensemble playing from Joe and the 2 Paul's. Annette and Tina sparkle in their richly realised characters, and Emma and Brandon, for such young actors, present a beautiful vignette. Watch out for a glorious cameo from Brian Toolan! Let's not forget Pearse as the stoic butler; statuesque!
The beautiful set for "The Second Mrs Tanqueray" courtesy of the skills of Geoff Boles and Eunan Keys. Opening night tonight Friday.
Autumn season opens with this intriguing melodrama
