The Athenry Heritage Centre would like to thank everyone who came along for the Twelve Apostles event last Friday. The 1916-2016 Centenary Celebration attracted over 120 people who enjoyed a programme of music, presentations by Conor McNamara, Dave Swift of Claiomh, author Kevin Jordan and experienced personal tributes by family members of the 12 men. I would like to thank all the relatives for their help in making this event a success and to those who brought along 1916 exhibits to be displayed on the night.
