It Has The "WOW" Factor. Customer reference for Boyne Rock Ltd as told to pickapro by Mrs Kearns from Co. Meath When was the work done? The work was started in April and completed in June of 2015. What was involved? We have a 5 bed detached house and we wanted to add a room in the the space that had been our decking area. The deck was removed and we had a 1 storey extension added with a fairly high pitched ceiling. One entire right angled corner of the room is made up of floor to ceiling window/sliding doors. That part of the room opens out onto the garden and brings in a lot of light. It was a very nice design and the extension was finished off with a lovely granite patio. How did you choose Boyne Rock Ltd? My husband and I googled for builders in Meath and we found Cormac and two others that way. One of the builders never got back to us, another wasn't suitable but our experience with Cormac was different. He came to the house, walked around the area and was very generous with his time and listening to our ideas. Cormac brought his laptop to the meeting and showed us lots of previous work that he had carried out. He was very personable and easy to deal with. We asked to see a job that he was working on in Malahide and he brought us out to visit it. Had you definite ideas in mind before you talked to Cormac Harten? Yes, my husband had done a lot of groundwork and he had a very particular design in mind. Did Cormac introduce new ideas? He did, yes. Cormac took our ideas and design on board and used it as a starting point. We would have bounced a lot of ideas around. Cormac had suggestions and so did my husband and I. Some worked and others weren't viable but it was a good exchange with a lot of good input. How did the project run? It went very well. Early on, we clarified how we would work going forward and Cormac really listened to us and believe me, I would be very particular. If anything ever needed doing, there was action and it was done. Everything was spot on and if I ever needed to reach Cormac, he was always contactable. What was the biggest benefit to you of using Boyne Rock Ltd? Cormac shared the vision of what we were trying to accomplish. He was dedicated to our build and really committed to deliver an excellent build on time and budget. The finished build is the result of of a beautiful design a lot of hard work and attention to detail. What's your favourite part now? The whole thing. The room is beautiful, the finish immaculate and the patio amazing. The whole thing just works really well together. It's a proud showcase and it definitely has the "WOW" factor. Would you recommend Boyne Rock Ltd to others? I definitely would. Cormac was great to work with and he did a fantastic job. Any tips for other people? communication is the key. Have faith in your own vision, communicate that to the builder and don't be afraid to ask questions or make changes. Once you have a good working relationship with the builder and you have a shared vision, with everyone on the same page, the result should be a good one.

A Very Professional Outfit Customer reference for Boyne Rock Ltd as told to pickapro by C. Twohig from Sutton, Dublin 13 on 11-Sep-2015 When was the work done? The work began in May and was completed in August, 2015. What was involved? We had an extension added to our existing bungalow that turned it into a dormer bungalow with 3 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. It has a new roof as well as an extended roof from the original. How did you choose Boyne Rock Ltd? We did a Google search first of all to find builders. A big priority of ours was to find a builder who was available quickly because we had a newborn on the way and we wanted the extension completed beforehand. It was through Google that we found Cormac and Boyne Rock. It's a very professional outfit. They have someone in the office that you deal with on a day to day basis that was incredibly helpful. After first speaking to Cormac, it was clear straight away that he understood exactly what it was that we were trying to achieve. We saw photographs of work that he had previously carried out and he gave us a lot of confidence that he could do the job, it was a very positive experience. We had met other builders but they didn't give us that same feeling of confidence. Had you definite ideas in mind before you talked to Cormac Harten? We already had plans put together from an architect but we needed some additional changes. So we got Cormac and part of his team to help us make some changes to the plans. Did Cormac introduce new ideas? Cormac had great input with regards to changes in the internal plans. With his suggestions, we were able to gain additional space in a bedroom and extending the walls out allowed us to gain extra square footage. He also had good ideas with the roofing aspect of the build. How did the project run? Excellent, absolutely excellent. I dealt with Greg, the foreman on a day to day basis and he was exceptional. He was responsible for the team doing the work and his advice was very helpful. From the initial scheduling to the quality of the work being carried out and through to completion, Greg made it a very positive experience. We were extremely satisfied. What was the biggest benefit to you of using Boyne Rock Ltd? There were 3 things we wanted from the project; we wanted the extension built according to our needs, we wanted it to be done on budget and we needed the job done within the scheduled time because I was expecting. We were able to get all 3, in fact they accomplished more than we were expecting. What's your favourite part now? The big open staircase is my favourite part. They put so much time and effort into making it fit in and complement everything downstairs. Their attention to detail was excellent. Would you recommend Boyne Rock Ltd to others? Absolutely and I have done so already. Any tips for other people? I would say to be open to change and to not allow yourself to be absolutely locked into one plan. Things can change during a build and you may find a better use of space or ways of doing things. Make sure that the finished build is going to meet your needs.
