Owned and occupied by the same Australian family as their cherished home for 3 generations, they have succeeded in enhancing the Villa by adding local antiquities and artefacts. Each addition and in fact, every facet of the Estate was sourced and crafted by local artisans and builders There are no harsh edges here and the addition of modern utilities in no way detracts from that same feeling of magic that Hans Snell created so many years ago.

Whilst Villa White Lotus presents itself nobly as a peaceful retreat, it is very much a family home and welcomes visitors with children.

The sparkling fresh water pool is meticulously maintained and, for the more energetic, table tennis, volley ball and lawn games can be organised by the staff and family gatherings are encouraged.

With a luxuriously furnished outdoor dining pavilion, overlooking the pool, that can easily accommodate over 50 guests for cocktails, there is an abundance of entertaining space.

A recently built, local volcanic stone, wood fired pizza oven and a choice of coconut husk or gas barbecue are at your disposal for relaxed gatherings with friends and family.

The local in-house staff speak good English and are keen to assist you with provision shopping, preparing your meals and recommending local events and attractions. Motorcycles and chauffeur driven cars are also available with a few hours prior notice.

Behind the Villa property and the 4 car parking area lies the rest of the Estate. A perfect early morning or early evening stroll through the adjoining rice fields to awaken or soothe the soul is right on your doorstep.

Yet still, no more than 15 minutes car drive away awaits the extraordinary hub of Ubud. It is here you will find the colourful local markets, unique local handicrafts, restaurants to rival the best in Indonesia and some of the best Art Galleries, Silversmiths and Goldsmiths in Bali.
