Featuring the intriguing artworks of Djunaidi Kenyut and Anas Etan. Kenyut speaks about social theme such as the proletarian struggle and freedom of expressions in his artworks by using layers of vibrant colors and wild strokes offering rich visual splendor for the viewers. The characteristic of Anas' work is in the surreal style and the detail of the elongated curves line to symbolize the motion (dynamic) in each of his works. For him, Every shadow is cast by a real object, and every shadow can develop its own unique characteristics that deviate from the existing object. The presence of a shadow usually raises questions, however in another perspective the shadow can also be the answer.

Matteo Graziano is a director and choreographer for contemporary dance. In the early of May, he collaborated with Istituto Italiano Di Cultura Jakarta (Institut Kebudayaan Italia Jakarta) to had a video dance workshop. His main works are in contemporary dance production, opera, and music theatre while he also been involved in experimental projects, which include participatory formats, architectural and site-specific interventions. Matteo would like to connect with people through this event and to exchange ideas around video dance and architecture. Especially on the relationships between the real body and physical space versus the image of the body and the frame. We watched 10 short films as the result from the participants of video dance residency in Turin, Italy (Campo Largo) - with the total duration: 47 minutes. He looks at his work process from two perspectives. Movement body in a space as a contemporary performance (real body and physical space) and the image of a body and the frame (while he works on the video) In the discussion, we talked about how the body affect the architecture and vice versa; the degree of the movement and its relation to action and reaction; and his choreography research based on somatic discipline. Somatic is a field with body-based. In the movement technique, a performer uses perceptions and body sensor to move rather than space to a body.

Bare Journal is a biennial artist residency program designed by Cata Odata to reveal the artists’ creative process through an artist journal that is open to public. This residency involves several artists and author from various disciplines. The author takes role as a critical observer, while from time to time he is also given space to mediate the artists and become one of the collaborators in the artistic creation. // The main highlight of the Bare Journal is the daily records of the artists’ creative journey that reflected in the artist journal, instead of the finished result of the artwork itself. From the first day of the residency program, each artist will receive an empty journal from Cata Odata. These journals will become a straightforward media to express their raw thoughts in any kind method and form. // This year, Bare Journal Vol. III is using devised theatre method where the participants will record their first incubation period in the journal on a daily basis. While in general theatre is build upon a vision of a sole playwright through a written script, devised theatre is born from the absolute collaboration process of the devisers from scratch.
