Pita Maha Resort & Spa
Description
Boutique Resort in Ubud Rich in history, the Tjampuhan Valley became the focal point of Bali’s artistic community when in 1934, the Prince of Ubud, Tjokorda Gde Agung Sukawati joined with celebrated Western artist Walter Spies and Rudolf Bonnet to create an artist’s association they name Pita Maha. “Pita Maha” in English translates to ‘Great Shining”. In 1994 , to commemorate the birth of this artistic force and to keep alive the original philosophy, The Pita Maha Resort was created and opened its door on 01 December 1995.
Set into the side of the Tjampuhan valley in Bali’s cultural heartland of Ubud, The Pita Maha Resort & Spa is a landscaped jewel overlooking the beautiful River Oos. From the lobby and restaurant area, the natural beauty of the Ubud foothills is immediately apparent. Sweeping views of lush rice terraces and tropical woodland draw the eye along the valley to the sea.
With spectacular views and luxuriously appointed private villas, the Pita Maha Resort & Spa is a true haven relaxation.
Most the villas enjoy a private pool and enclosed garden, three with two storey facilities to accommodate families. All villas are luxuriously appointed, with air-conditioning, satellite TV, private bar and other modern conveniences. The standard of workmanship, in wood and stone, befits that of the most ancients and powerful Balinese palaces, with carefully tended gardens and an eye for detail that will delight the most discerning.
Whether relaxing in your villa or enjoying a leisurely meal above the valley, private areas and lush tropical gardens create an ambience that is uniquely Ubud.
