1965 two tone 1500 S notchback
This is a 65 notch with original two tone painted sheme seablue/white. It's a nice car, but not show standard with some imperfections but easy to fix (if the buyer want's this), car is in full working order, converted to 4 Lug disc brakes with gasburner rims and good tires. Engine has Weber ICT's, starts fantastic, idling well, ceramic coated exhaust. Seats has bright grey TMI covers and look's good. Carpet is grey afternmarket but in good condition. Apart from that, full original interiour. Dash, front armrest's, headliner and door panels are crack free, rear armrests have some crack's but not totally worn! Body is welded, where it was necessary! Not in show condition, but solid. In my opinion (but this not everyone's cup of tea) it needs a new rear lhs fender and paint in some area's (NO open rust) to be a really, really nice car! It has some nice accessory's like a radio in original padded frame, a parcel tray under dash, rail bumper overiders and a wooden Nardi steering wheel (horn works on sep. button), a daytrip speedo... Runs and brakes very nice and ready for the summer! Car still has the cool original Austrian paperwork. Serious interest's please ASK! This is not a show and shine car! But as nice as the pictures show's! I can do some close up pictures if you are really interested in it! FOR SALE. 10900€ negotiable Car is located in northern Bavaria! I'll travel to England in 4 weeks and can bring it with me for refunding expenses!

Thursday pick up! 1500 S two tone notchback from feb. 1965
1965 velvet green squareback
"They are still out there..." was the first words of a customer as he sent me pictures of this one. He asked us to pick the car up for him! WHAT a find! Incredibly complete and with a superrare option - it has a single carb engine installed! The rarely choosen M3 option! We are waiting for the original paperwork to confirm this. The engine has a low number - so it looks like it's ordered with them... Everything is still in place as it should be. Upgraded with a emergency flasher but this job looks like homemade by the first and only owner! But could be bader! As we picked it up, the steering was locked because the keys are missing, We tried a lot of key's to unlock it but no success. That's why i removed the ignition lock carefully to check the key-nr. on it and to order a pair of keys! We will sort the wiring out when we put back the ignition lock. We was more successfully at the tailgate. One of the key's in my jam jar accidently fit's and we 'found' a nice trunk mat, a nicer floor mat underneeth, a good looking engine cover with it's original strap and the single carb engine! The pan looks very solid, even in the battery area (the 6V battery was still conected) and at the jacking point's! The body has some surface rust at the lhs underneeth the roof gutter and at the rear side window. The lhs front fender is rusted through at the top near the a pillar and has some cancer at the usual place at the bottom, the rhs one is in better shape but has some bubbles at the bottom too. The lhs rocker has 2 tiny holes at the area where the door seal sit's when the door is closed. The view into the rocker show's surface rust. But other than than it's a solid car! The interiour is complete and still in place. The important dashboard cover, the armrest's and the headliner are crack free! The door panels are dirty and has some mould stains. Most of them will go after a proper cleaning! It has it's original carpet wich looks nice and salvageable. The driver backrest is worn, the passenger seat is way better but show's it age too. We have some used cloth in cord silver in stock and we propose to give it to a upholsterer who make a better lhs backrest from them. The rubber mat's at the floor are partly dried up but it's still there. Also the rear trunk mat and the back of the foldable bench. The trims and liners are undamaged! The view into the front trunk was surprisingly! There was a NOS emergency triangle in a unopened cardbox there, the trunk liner is very nice! The tool kit is complete with the Hazet tool, the spare wheel and a nice jack was there also! The bottom line is that: a extremely hard to find car in a one year only color who need's to be preserved. I'm not sure if a complete restoration is the best way, i would recommend a completely technical update to get the car back in running order. Maybe split body and pan to renew everything on the drivetrain, fuel and brakelines, sandblasting and fresh paint everywhere, weld up the hole at the lhs fender, repaint this area only, put the patina'd body back on a fresh pan, clean up the interiour and going back on the road's to enjoy live.... How does that sound?
