Coligny Beach, South Carolina. I don't know whether it's because I'm sick of the cold here in Germany, or just excited to come across some photos I'd taken a few years ago, but this image (which I edited in a painterly style) is one of my favs and speaks volumes to me. We're flying out tomorrow for a long weekend, so the images you'll see over the next few days are going to have a Venetian flavor!!

"Music acts like a magic key, to which the most tightly closed heart opens." ~ Maria von Trapp. I was taking the Yearbook class photos in my son's school a few days ago and wandered into the music room. I probably spent 80% of my school life in the music room years ago. Then for 10 years after, I spent 100% of my time in one as a music teacher. It's my other passion in life.
