HotelamBach in Hinterzarten - A Breath of Fresh Air in the Black Forest. HotelamBach is a small, laid-back hotel in Hinterzarten. It has a quiet and idyllic location but nevertheless is central and in only 5 minutes walking distance from Hinterzarten centrum and the train station. Several hiking tracks and cross country ski runs are directly accessible outside of the hotel, as well as a childrens’ adventure track/path.

Our beautiful garden tempts you to linger – to enjoy the fresh air on the terrace, in the biotope or in one of the many peaceful places among the bushes and trees.
You can spend pleasant hours in the lounge and enjoy the beautiful view over the adjacent biotope. Newspapers are available to read, as well as a small selection of board games. For music lovers we also have a piano and a cello.

In the hotel’s cosy restaurant, we provide an extensive selection of breakfast items every morning; breakfast is included in the room price. In the evening we serve a set menu and also offer à la carte dining. We always use high quality ingredients, with most of the foodstuffs being organic and locally sourced. On request we can also cook food to suit a particular diet, and we would be happy to provide your children’s favourite dishes.

All rooms are equipped with a shower and a toilet. The pilgrim’s room has a private shower and toilet on the same floor.

Pets are also warmly welcomed at the hotel. The surcharge for pets is 6 euros per night, excluding food.

Our hotel caters for the accommodation needs of small conferences, meetings, family gatherings and hiking groups. For private events we can reserve the entire hotel for your exclusive use. We offer a varied cuisine, which can be tailored to individual needs. People with disabilities are very welcome at the hotel, although please note that the building does not have a lift and does not have full disabled access.

The hotel is located directly on the Südschwarzwald (Southern Black Forest) cycle path and on Westweg, a cultural, long-distance trail through the Black Forest. We are partners with bett&bike (bed&bike), Bitou, velotours Constance and the Black Forest Tourist Agency, offering a hiking without luggage service on the Westweg, and we are also a member of the Friends of the Himmelreich-Jakobusweg pilgrim route.
