Students Representative Body of the Faculty Society and Economics at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Science GERMAN VERSION:
Die Fachschaft konstituiert sich an deutschen Hochschulen aus den Mitgliedern des jeweiligen Fachbereiches (Fakultät). Jeder Student ist mit der Immatrikulation bereits Teil einer Fachschaft. Bei Exmatrikulation verlässt er diese automatisch wieder.
(Beispiel: Schreibt man sich für den Studiengang ‘International Business and Social Sciences’ ein, so ist man Mitglied dieser Fachschaft Gesellschaft und Ökonomie.)
An der Hochschule Rhein-Waal gibt es eine Fachschaft für jeden Fachbereich (nicht für jeden Studiengang). So bilden die Bachelorstudiengänge International Business and Social Science, International Relations, Taxation and Law, Gender and Diversity, Frühkindliche Bildung, und Alternativer Tourismus zusammen mit dem Masterstudiengang Economics and Finance den Fachbereich Gesellschaft und Ökonomie und somit ist die Gesamtheit aller Studierenden dieser Studiengänge die “Fachschaft Gesellschaft und Ökonomie”.
ENGLISH VERSION:
The faculty’s student body defines itself through the members of each specific faculty. Students enrolled in each specific faculty are therefore part of the faculty’s student body.
(Example: If you are enrolled in the study course ‘International Business and Social Sciences’ you are automatically member of the Faculty of Society and Economics.)
At Rhine-Waal University of Applied Science, each faculty has its own student body of a faculty. Thus, the Bachelor and Master courses of International Business and Social Sciences, International Relations, Taxation and Law, Gender and Diversity, Frühkindliche Bildung, Alternativer Tourismus, and Economics and Finance define the ‘Student Body of the Faculty of Society and Economics’.

Silent Party
Party people! Ever seen a group of students dancing to beats in total silence? Sounds like a silent party... FSR Society and Economics is laying on the second silent party on June 14. But of course, you don't want to be inside getting your groove on a sweating... that's why this summer edition is taking place outside just next to the Radhouse. Get your groove on and enjoy the fresh summer air. If you weren't there last time and have no idea what the heck we're on about? Like this... but without having to travel to Chicago... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YfX09Yiu-os Can't watch the video? Here's how it's going to go down (in a nutshell): Instead of the music being played through the sound system everybody gets their own pair of headphones with three different channels that are streaming the mix from the three DJs that are playing. So find the others with the same colours lighting up their heads and you'll all be dancing to the same beat. Doors open at 10pm and headphones can be rented for €3 however we'll ask you to hand over a piece of government issued ID as a security deposit. If you break the headphones we'll have to charge you €20... So come on by and get your own little garden dance party going with us at the Radhaus. Das klingt nach einer SILENT PARTY! Der Fachschaftsrat Gesellschaft und Ökonomie veranstaltet am 14. Juni die zweite Auflage der legendären Partyreihe! Was das Ganze noch cooler macht – anstatt bei heißen Temperaturen drinnen zu schwitzen, findet die Silent Party diesmal outdoor statt. Dazu werden wir die Wiese vor dem Radhaus präparieren, sodass ihr dort fett feiern könnt. Ihr seid letztes Mal nicht dabei gewesen und habt keinen Plan was eine Silent Party ist? Dann schaut euch dieses Video an: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YfX09Yiu-os Für alle Steinzeitmenschen ohne Youtube, hier das Ganze nochmal zusammengefasst: Die Musik kommt nicht aus den Boxen sondern jeder von euch trägt Kopfhörer. Die Musik ist trotzdem live und wird euch von den DJs eingespielt. Ihr könnt zwischen drei „Channels“ wählen – House/Charts, Hip Hop und Elektro - und diesen jederzeit ändern. Die Kopfhörer zeigen an (per LED Farbe) welche Musik ihr gerade hört, sodass sich das zusammen tanzen in wenig einfacher gestaltet. Einlass ist ab 22.00 Uhr. Die Kopfhörer könnt ihr euch für 3 € leihen. Wichtig: wir brauchen ein offizielles Dokument (Führerschein/ Pass) als Kaution für die Kopfhörer! Bei Beschädigung der Kopfhörer müssen wir leider eine Gebühr von 20 € erheben. Kommt vorbei und feiert eure persönliche Tanzparty bei uns vor dem Radhaus! Das genaue DJ Line-Up folgt bald…

Our lovely Leonie is part of the Fairtrade steering group of our university, she will be at our booth as well - get informed about how we can become a Fairtrade university, ask questions, get answers! 4. Due to a drought, there is a great food shortage in East Africa and a lot of people need assistance. We would like to help out and hope for your monetary support! International African Day
We are looking forward to see all of you wednesday afternoon behind the library to celebrate International Africa Day! You will have another chance to try on FSR HOODIES! We are getting ready for the next order, so just step by and have a look at them! They are fairtrade and cost 34,90€!

The International Africa Day is coming up and we want to take the chance and bring up an important issue! In the Horn of Africa, a hunger crisis is unfolding of even greater proportions than the one of 2010/2011. Ethiopia, Kenya and Somaliland are currently suffering a severe drought that is threatening the lives of more than 11 million people. According to UN figures, more than 20 million people in Africa are dependent on humanitarian assistance for survival. The FSR Society and Economics wants to donate and is depending on your help! We will be present at the International Africa Day (24th of May) and kindly ask you for your contribution.
