Facebook homepage of the Department of Developmental Pathology of the Institute of Pathology of the University Hospital Bonn. Head of department is Prof. Dr. Hubert Schorle. The working group consists of PostDocs, PhD students, Bachelor and Master students, technicians and keepers. A DFG-funded research group, led by Dr. Daniel Nettersheim, is embedded in the AG Schorle. Here, you will be updated about recent activities of the group!
We analyze the normal and malignant germ cell- and placenta-development, reprogramming events and the influence of the RTK c-Kit on hematopoesis. Additionally, we screen for new therapeutic approaches for cisplatin-resistant germ cell cancers.
Besides in vitro-experiments on cell lines, transgene mouse- and xenograft-models are utilized. We are working on the fields of (epi)genetics, CRISPR/Cas9, RNAi and cellular / molecular biology in general.
