Description
One-year, English-taught MA degree awarded by Freie Universität Berlin, an introduction into the rich and varied intellectual world of medieval Islam. What the MA program Intellectual Encounters of the Islamicate World offers you:
- a one-year, English-taught MA degree awarded by Freie Universität Berlin;
- an introduction into the rich and varied intellectual world of medieval Islam;
- an interdisciplinary and research-driven approach with an emphasis on primary texts in original language (Arabic);
- teachers who are internationally acclaimed experts in their field;
- a combination of interactive elearning (80%) and in-class sessions (20%);
- a close collaboration with regional partners in Israel and Palestine;
- no tuition fees;
- scholarship program.
The project is funded by the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (German Academic Exchange Service) through funds provided by the Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development).
