THE MEXICAN F1 GP RETURNED LAST YEAR WITH A BANG After an absence from the calendar of 23 years, the Mexican F1 Grand Prix returned last year with a bang. The rebuilt and modified Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez by Tilke may have lost the full force of the Peraltada final corner but its replacement became the defining image of F1’s return to Mexico.This upcoming weekend the F1 returns to the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez for the second time. YOUNG BUT THRILLING RACING HISTORY The Circuit of the Americas (COTA) near Austin, Texas, is one of the projects that has also been fully designed and implemented by Tilke. Given the high popularity of motor racing in the USA, our team approached the task at hand with a single objective – combining the virtues of American motor racing with a modern, state of the art race track design that fully complies with FIA Homologation for category 1. The COTA was completed in 2012. The same year Austin hosted the Formula 1 for the first time which now returns to Texas each season. Don't miss the COTA GP on upcoming sunday! MALAYSIA: THE TRACK WHICH CHANGED THE F1 A new era has began in 1999 with the Formula 1 at Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia. The track is one of the most modern circuits in the Formula 1 calendar - and therefore also reckoned to be the most popular. MOTORLAND ARAGÓN This weekend will see MOTOGP's 14th race of the season at the state of the art Motorland Aragón circuit near Alcañiz, Spain. The circuit, which was completed by Tilke in 2009, has a total length of 5.3 kilometers and comprises 18 curves. The race track has been awarded three times already. DID YOU KNOW WE ALSO DO HOTELS? Check out our new project in Monheim, Germany, right on the edge of the Rhine parks, the 3* business hotel with 178 rooms arises with a wonderful view directly to the passing ships on the Rhine. The three-star category will carry the brand "Comfort" of Choice Hotels, which is known particularly in the US. The "Sportpark Monheim", office space and a restaurant will be attached at the hotel. F1'S FASTEST STREET TRACK - BAKU, AZERBAIJAN The circuit thrives on Baku's very attractive urban atmosphere and its great combination of history and 21st century. The historic center, the beautiful seaside promenade, the impressive government house – it is just a perfect scenery for a spectacular track. The track layout itself provides some very unique features like the extreme narrow uphill section at the old town wall and an acceleration section of almost 2.2km along the promenade which creates a very high top speed.
