Rain today so no work, fishing instead! Back to old fashioned fishing using very light rods just to prove you don't need heavy rods for heavy fish. A lot of anglers have lost their way in the types of rods they use. It's light, fun and exhilarating and you feel more through the rod. Although I admit this is extreme as caught this 44.4 mirror on a 1lb1/4 barbel rod - most enjoyable tho!!! Hopefully more to come!!

Couple of weeks ago Rob flew over for a long weekend, he had 12 fish up to 55.8 and here are a couple of photos, with more to follow soon.

Last week we had the pleasure of welcoming Mike, Nik & the lovely Charlotte to Chanteboeuf. What great people they were and we look forward to seeing them again next year!!

Last week we welcomed our first anglers of the season, Steve & Dexy from Bank Tackle. Two great guys who had a fantastic week fishing. It was hard going with winds, hail & rain but they still managed 16 fish, 14 of which were over 40lb up to 48.8. Both smashing their PB's - well done!! Look forward to their return later in the year.

Our good friend Rob Hughes returned to Chanteboeuf for his first visit of 2016 last week. A 36 hour trip in which he encountered heavy rain & thick frost, yet still caught 3 50's - numerous 40's plus a few 30's which were removed & placed in the stock pond, as our aim is to have no fish under 40lb.
