Handmade natural soap, made with only the finest materials available Well this is how it all began…
In May of 2014 Velvannie was created, it had been a long process of finding the correct name for some time and we had been „arguing“ about what would fit our idea behind everything that we wanted to do.
So we sat down in each corner of our living room and started to wander off into a stage of brainstorming session by ourselves.
We came up with a few ideas that could fit what we were doing, like lather from a soap and the feeling of having velvet stroking your skin…
And then it happened, we took that feeling of having velvet on the skin and the name of the woman (Anna) how started this bacterial infection of creating handcrafted soaps and put them together to form, yeah you guessed it…. Velvannie
But we had already started fondling the soaping world before all of this name creation process started. It all started when Anna had the vision of not making you pure from the inside but also from the outside.
But that is not the main thing nevertheless, we also try to get inspired by beautiful places around the world.
And the first place that got our attention was an obvious choice. Iceland. We both come from Iceland and hence it is a big part of us.
We are also looking for new places to give us inspiration…
