Have you ever wondered what life is like onboard of a vessel? In May 2017, a team from the Maritime Development Center joined Clipper Lis to record short movies about the life of a seafarer onboard. They placed a virtual reality camera on the vessel to film in a 360-degrees angle. The three movies, about the engine room, the fire drill and the final part of the voyage, are now available on Youtube. Clipper Fleet Management will host its annual Senior Officers’ Conference at Clipper House September 24-29, 2017. About 60 Senior Officers are travelling to Copenhagen for the occasion, during which they will attend seminars and workshops on various relevant topics. The conference provides a great setting to bridge the gap between ship and shore. The Senior Officers will have the chance to express their thoughts and concerns, while our technical staff can test new concepts and ideas, and receive valuable feedback directly from the people working onboard the vessels. Clipper has long traditions in inviting seafarers on shore, and hosted its first Senior Officers conference back in the 1990s in relation to a Oil Major Vetting process. Once again, we look forward to welcoming our Senior Officers to Copenhagen!
