The Queer Songbook Orchestra has made the long list for the 2018 Polaris Music Prize! Congratulations to Vivek Shraya & Queer Songbook Orchestra for their "Part-Time Woman" nomination!

My Funny Valentine (Friday, June 22 / 7:30pm) and the Queer Songbook Orchestra (Saturday, June 23 / 7:30pm) have been relocated from the Cowichan Performing Arts Centre to the Ladysmith Little Theatre at 4985 Christie Rd, Ladysmith. Ticket can be purchased at the Cowichan Ticket Centre by phone at 250.748.7529 or in person at 2687 James Street, Duncan until 11am on Friday, June 22 for My Funny Valentine and 11am on Saturday, June 23 for Queer Songbook Orchestra. Tickets will be available to purchase at Ladysmith Little Theatre's box office from 6:30pm to showtime on Friday, June 22 and Saturday, June 23.

Portals Art Gallery is hosting a very interesting art show that introduces diverse community members through their own ‘self-portraits’ to the Cowichan Valley community. Five local artists had weekly met with 12 Providence Farm members for a year. They made paintings, drawings, wood block prints, story books, fabric pieces, animations, performance art etc. Come down to PORTALS Gallery (2687 James St, Duncan) June 8 - 21, 2018. Opening reception: June 15 (6:30 pm to 8:30 pm) Nick Versteeg’s documentary film about our year-long process will be screened.
