Calpus is a small kennel in Zagreb. We're breeding standard wirehaired and standard, miniature and kaninchen smooth dachshunds.

Calpus is every dog loving friend, and those that were helping us all these years. Calpus is every night spent awake while waiting for a birth, each phone call in the middle of the night seeking for help, each tear lost for our little ones… Cause with every loss we are saying goodbye to one of our family member.
Calpus kennel breeds for quality. Love toward our dogs and their welfare is at the first place. As breeders we can warrant that we took all necessary measures in breeding to ensure the best environment for raising puppies. Puppies bred by us are supplied with high quality food and required supplements, in order to maximize their performance. Our breeding is based on detailed pedigree study, following stud results and predicting outcomes, and though all puppies have the same conditions they are not all developing the same. During their earliest stages we can somewise predict their show and breeding potential. Throughout their growing phase, puppies change morphologically, based on their genetic predisposition but also considering environmental influences. We cannot foresee the latest outcome, and guarantee that a puppy will have outstanding show results. After all, champions are raised, not born.
