Description
MedILS is a non-profit research institute in field of ageing and age related disesses Mediterranean Institute for Life Sciences (MedILS) was founded in 2003 was founded as a non-profit research institute with the goal of developing a leading international center of excellence in the field of natural sciences. The basic activities of the Institute include the conducting of multidisciplinary research by combining the expertise and experience of the topmost renowned scientists in the fields of biochemistry, nanobiology, cellular biology, neuroscience and genetics, creating new knowledge and competencies in these fields.
In addition to research activity, MedILS also organise various scientific events with the aim of promoting science and the dissemination of new knowledge and research results of MedILS scientists and other domestic and international partner institutions.

Posjet maturanata Prirodoslovno tehničke škole Split MedILS-u
MedILS u lokalnoj zajednici Uz svoju temeljnu istraživačku i znanstvenu aktivnost MedILS-ovi znanstvenici provode i projekt pod nazivom 'MedILS u lokalnoj zajednici' kojim nastoje čari znanosti približiti svojim sugrađanima, prvenstveno učenicima viših razreda osnovnih škola i srednjoškolcima. Nizom predavanja nastoje popularizirati prirodne znanosti i informirati o suvremenim dostignućima na svima pristupačan način, dati odgovore na pitanja posjetitelja, te prošetati MedILS-om i pokazati laboratorije. Ovim putem pozivamo vas da se priključite našem projektu i dogovorite posjetu institutu. 06.12.2016. godine posjetili su nas maturanti Prirodoslovno tehničke škole iz Splita, a domaćin im je bila mlada MedILS-ova znanstvenica Lara Romac.
