elEFANTE Happy Restaurant elEFANTE is a new Restaurant & Deli that our sexy chef Willy Trullás has based in the Mediterranean finding his way to have a broader range of creative expression than just with the Spanish cuisine at el Willy, his beloved flagship restaurant. . A mixing-up of “el colmado”, “el bistro” and “la trattoria” with the eclectic, creative and funky style of Willy.
elEFANTE takes the former venue of "el Willy" inside The Happy House, an antique colonial villa in the Former French Concession, now turned into a south european style. elEFANTE’s design, taken care by MQ Studio (elWILLY on the Bund, el Cóctel…), transports the customer to the old Mediterranean delis. Menus on blackboards, hand-painted old mirrors, and hundreds products on display, create a colourful vintage ambiance integrating history and modern gastronomy. Its beautiful terrace -the "Siesta Garden”- will surely enjoy lovely evenings.
At elEFANTE we can FEEL the colours and aromas of the “Mediterraneo”. The menu is a trip, based only on quality products, where Spain and its neighboring countries take a special role allowing you to experience a great variety of flavors, coming from a common past.
A natural charcoal grill is the essential secret for many dishes and it will carry our guests to the heart of the Mediterranean cuisine.
But this is not everything that elEFANTE is offering...every single product that would delight you in the restaurant, the colmado corner of elEFANTE would also let you enjoy this small piece of the Mediterranean in your own house.
Since Willy arrived at Shanghai, he has been creating different concepts around town: always sharing his fun and creative style, “The Happy Family” was born…and now elEFANTE will proudly be part of this dream.
