Canada’s 150th Birthday

Celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday with your favourite artists and food vendors at Shipyards Park. This year’s Canada Day event will be headlined by Juno award winning indie rock group July Talk. Kick off the day with the annual Pancake Breakfast hosted by Knights of Columbus and Canada Day parade hosted by The Legion. Get ready for a day and night of dancing to performances by: ● JULY TALK ● The Quiet Revolution ● The Midnight Sons ● Patrick Jacobson ● The Ukes of Hazard ● Usagi Forest ● Vision Quest ● Soir de Semaine ● The Inuvik Drummers and Dancers ● Fiddlers from the North ● Youth Breakdancing Society ● and more... Kids’ Zone 1 – 6 pm Enjoy an afternoon of kids activities throughout the park. With roaming face-painting, crafts, and Rendezvous’s Prince and Princess competition, Canada Day has something for families and kids of all ages including: ● Cultural performances at the multicultural pavilion ● Free electronic craft workshops hosted by Yukonstruct and Michel Gignac ● Free recycled and paper craft workshops hosted by Helen O’Connor and Leslie Leong ● Musical and dance performances at the side stage featuring Bhangra Dancing with Gurdeep Pandher, Madi and Sarah, Stockstill and Rose, and the Youth Breakdancing Society.
