TWC’s mission is to educate and support men and families who struggle with the challenges of substance misuse, and desire a new life in recovery.  Together We Can Addiction Recovery & Education Society was founded in 1993 and since then has become one of Canada’s leading treatment centres for men. Located in Metro Vancouver, TWC’s mission is to educate and support men and families who struggle with the challenges of substance misuse, and desire a new life in recovery.

TWC provides over 200 men with abstinence-based recovery programs and supportive housing opportunities in a therapeutic residential setting. Our addiction recovery programs, transitional housing, and aftercare initiatives provide residents with an integrated approach to rehabilitation.

Together We Can understands that long-term recovery is most successful when people are provided health and wellness supports for physical, mental, emotional and spiritual healing.

TWC is a licensed healthcare service provider through Vancouver Coastal Health, and is well established as a reputable destination where men can truly begin to create change in their lives and rebuild their family relationships.

As a registered charity, we are dedicated to building positive community relationships with Families, Donors, Partners, and Government. Together, we can continue to make a difference in our community. Thank you for your generous support.

The Together We Can - Addiction Recovery & Education Society would like to congratulate TWC Alumni Jasii Chuttii on reaching one year of continuous sobriety. Jasii is an absolute power house when it comes to recovery and supporting other men in their struggles with addiction. From running weekend meditation classes, to facilitating a weekly recovery group, to lending his time and energy to taking newcomers to meetings, he is an admirable example of what living a full life in recovery is all about. Described by many who know him as "the sweetest guy you will ever meet" and "someone who brightens the room with his light," Jasii has made a tremendous impact on the lives of our clients and the Vancouver recovery community. From all of us at Together We Can, congratulations and "Happy Birthday" Jasii!

Christmas can often be one of the most challenging times for men in recovery - many struggle with a disconnection from family and friends, and many more can have feelings of loneliness and isolation as they work through their first few months of sobriety. This Christmas, the Together We Can - Addiction Recovery & Education Society has started the TWC Holiday Spirit Project which aims to help us supply Christmas trees, decorations, gifts, clothing, love, and comfort to men struggling with addiction during the holiday season. The impact of your support would help us to help men heal. During the holidays, our men are volunteering in our community by shovelling sidewalks for seniors, helping put together food hampers for those in need, and delivering donated winter clothing to our city’s homeless population through the TWC Street Reach Project. It would be amazing this year if we could ensure that each of our 26 residences has a decorated tree, decor, and the holiday warmth that creates the spirit of the season, and elevates our men into the new year. If you are interested in helping us to achieve our goal, please click the link below. Thank you, and Merry Christmas.

The Together We Can - Addiction Recovery & Education Society is proud to congratulate TWC Alumni Trevor Pittman on reaching one year of continuous sobriety. Trevor has made an incredible and long lasting impact in the lives of countless men in recovery both as an inspirational role model for the newcomer, and a selfless champion for those still suffering from their addiction. Through his service, sponsorship, and unconditional love for other men struggling with addiction, to say that Trevor is a beacon in the night, would be a large understatement. Our organization is stronger because of Alumni like Trevor who gives so much of themselves freely, and show other men in recovery that we can stay sober, that we can stay clean, and that we can live amazing, happy lives. From everyone at Together We Can, congratulations Trevor, we couldn't be prouder of you. Happy Birthday!

*** 12 Years a Brave *** One of the most important things that we need to grasp when we begin our journey in recovery is the concept of "Surrender". For so long we have associated this word with defeat or failure; but in recovery, to surrender means to hand over your will and life to a benevolent power that is stronger than we are. Whether that be a single higher power, or the higher power of those that came before us, we need to believe that we cannot do this alone. As we accumulate more and more days of sobriety, we begin to see changes in ourselves. Our hopes and dreams begin to take seed, and after some time we begin to dream again. To "surrender" also means that we are open to take the path that is revealed to us as our new life takes shape. We believe that our greater purpose is only delivered when we are ready, or our passion is needed to spark the next man or woman that asks for help. 12 years ago today, Craig Fluter surrendered; through his journey of self discovery, his higher power shone a light into his deepest and darkest corners only to fill them with gratitude, hope, and faith. There is no coincidence that 12 years later(to the day), Craig has returned to TWC not only as an alumni, but as our newest Clinical Care Counsellor. Congratulations from all of us here at Together We Can - Addiction Recovery & Education Society. We are very excited and humbled by your journey and commitment to not only your sobriety, but to the sobriety of the people you have touched. Happy Birthday Craig!!! #TWCRecoverylife
