**Competitive News** Last weekend 32 Unionville skaters participated at Winter Glitters in the Star 1-3 Category! Congratulations to all the skaters who who received Gold, Silver and Bronze assessments. Equally as impressive were the skaters In the ranking categories: Star 4 o13 men's - Jacob Chen 1st Star 4 u13 women's - Kayleigh Cheung 1st Star 5 o13 - Renee Savas 5th Senior Bronze - Lauren McFarlane 7th Jocelyn Wong placed 2nd at the Gold Level at Snowflake Skate! Congratulations to all skaters for representing USC in such a great way!!

It only seems fitting that the TBT countdown to USC's reunion (April 9th) begin with a photo of the person spearheading the event, Janice Pickering (Osbaldeston). This picture dates back to Ice Show year 1981, and I can honestly say that Janice hasn't aged a day since this picture!

It is with much sadness that USC learns of the passing of beloved friend and longtime club member, Vivian Scarano. Vivian began her USC "career" as a Canskate Ice Supervisor before becoming a long-term Board member who, during her tenure, took on various roles such as Treasurer, Secretary, VP and President. She and her husband Rocco spent countless hours volunteering and organizing functions for the club, and her daughters Adria and Liisa have been associate members of the club for over 20 years. In fact, Adria still competes in Adult Synchro with Mississauga, but her Home club is still Unionville. Vivian and her family's affection and loyalty to USC has not been forgotten, and our hearts go out to the Scarano Family during this difficult time.

The CanPowerSkate program is geared to hockey and ringette players and was specifically developed by a team of hockey, figure skating and ringette experts to teach the fundamentals of power skating.
