We have recently noticed that the Arctic Rock Ice Cream Facebook page has been receiving a lot of views and we are assuming it is due to the change in weather. :) But we thought we better give you an update as many of you have probably noticed that the stand has moved. Unfortunately, as of right now it does not look like Arctic Rock will be opening for the 2016 summer season. The reason for this is because we were hoping to grow into a larger location that allowed us to have a longer season, expanded product lines (frozen yogurt???), maybe even make our own ice cream on site. However, by doing this it takes a lot of time and preparation, not to mention we have to make sure it is feasible as a business. Due to these factors we have decided as of now to shut the doors. I personally would like to thank all the people who have supported Arctic Rock over the last seven years. Although it was a small little stand, it allowed me to meet a lot of great people. Your business was very much appreciated. I also want to thank the amazing students that worked those long summer days. There were many of you over the years and that is why I don't want to list all your names. I would be terrified to miss somebody, but I only have the highest praises for all the young adults that scooped that rock hard ice cream some days!! You were the people that made Arctic Rock what it was and I am very grateful to each and every one of you. Finally, the biggest thanks has to go to Heather Abrams and the Old Cheese Factory for even letting us put our stand there. From letting us use your washrooms to bailing us out with extra change when we ran out, you and all the ladies were always very supportive and a huge help. Thank you. Now after all that I do want to say we are still working on a project for upcoming years. It may be a new name, new location and hopefully some new products but our focus will be great ice cream.
