I'm really excited to let the cat out of the bag... my photo of His Boy Elroy is an O'Brien Awards finalist! News broke on Standardbred Canada today and I'll be up against three time winner Clive Cohen (and his awesome shot!). It's a thrill just to be a finalist, so I'll be happy with the result regardless of the outcome. This photo was an instant favourite of mine--even right on the camera screen. It's great to see it recognized nationally and I can't wait to get to Toronto in February!
