Let It Snow!
Snow has arrived in Alberta and British Columbia – it’s time to get the winter gear ready! On Nov 3, Sunshine Village celebrated its earliest opening in over 30 years, and was the first Canadian ski resort to open for the 2016/17 season. It has been snowing in the Panorama and Whistler alpine (20 cm earlier this week in Panorama), and both resorts are happy to report more snow is in the upcoming forecast. Discovering Kingston, Ontario!
Our team journeyed to eastern Ontario recently, visiting Kingston area on a FAM. They travelled on VIA Rail, visited the 1000 Islands Tower, enjoyed a scenic helicopter flight, and toured the city by trolley among other activities. Here are some highlights! Destination training continues, with Vancouver, Whistler, Ucluelet, Tofino and Victoria on the itinerary. Check out some of the sights that our intrepid travellers saw on their recent FAM! Another Jonview FAM is underway, this time in Alberta. The team will travel to Calgary, Drumheller, Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper - have a look at what they’ve been up to! Jonview Explores The Yukon!
A group of 6 Jonview employees have just returned from the Yukon. Hosted by our friends at Tourism Yukon and led by Mr. Stephen Reynolds, Toronto office participants were Vicki Clarke (Director, Sales & Customer Service), Daynette Brooks (Product Technician), Sheldon D’Sylva (Manager, Product), Ryan Verbeek (Supervisor, Reservations & Special Services), and Montreal office participants were Anne Malouin (FIT Costing & Planning Coordinator) and Nathalie St-Jacques (Manager, Production). Highlights of their northern expedition included a floatplane trip, White Pass & Yukon Route train, Carcross, Dawson City, Tombstone Territorial Park, Top of the World Highway and Kluane National Park & Reserve. Jonview Lends a Hand at WindReach Farm!
As part of our annual Spirit Day providing a day of charitable service in the community, on September 13th the first group of Jonview employees from our Toronto office spent the day gardening, clearing paths, pruning, washing windows and other general chores at WindReach Farm in Ashburn, Ontario. The farm operates as a registered charity, creating an interactive environment for people with physical and mental challenges by hosting over 20, 000 visitors of all ages each year. Our next group of cheerful volunteers head to the farm on October 21st to continue Jonview’s good deeds.
