Longing for some more Taiwanese fried chicken after Asian Fest. 😔
#WeisTaiwaneseFood was at the Lansdowne night market a few months back. Lucy and Jimmy had actually been to their storefront in Scarborough before. The restaurant specializes in the #TaiwaneseBentos. You pick a main protein (three cup chicken, roast chicken leg, braised beef, and preserved pork to name a few) to go with rice, and then select your three sides out of the hotel pans. Apparently they change it up every few days. Each of the bentos cost $6.49 + tax and that includes a drink or soup. When we went to Toronto last month, we visited Wei's for our first meal. I went with the #TaiwaneseSausage as the main, tofu, eggplant and stir-fried greens for the sides. I had no idea they added braised ground pork. It looked so dry and bland, but it was so flavourful and tender! What a bargain.
