Bourbon Chicken Liver Pâté Montaditos w / Red Onion Jam We will be running these delicious Montaditos as well as a couple other specials for the rest of the weekend! The chicken livers are cooked slowly with shallots, garlic and clarified butter until flambéed with bourbon over an open flame. We're gearing up for our new menu launching next month! House Smoke Trout w/ House made Dill Crème Fraîche The Chefs are still busy in the kitchen in preparation for the upcoming menu change! Here's another sneak peek at one of the new dishes we'll be serving up this Spring/Summer. The Rainbow Trout is brined for a day before being smoked with Mesquite wood for 4 hours. The end result is a beautifully textured fish with lots of flavor. Join us this weekend to try this dish before our menu launch. Some great Tapas, drinks and atmosphere at Torito Tapas Bar! Last up: the Pisco Sour. I had never heard of pisco before, but have discovered that it's a white brandy made of grapes. The only problem was that each time I'd take a sip, my nose would get a whiff of the egg white - which was a bit of a turnoff. So as long as I didn't breathe, I was good. Next up: the Kale Salad with Ricotta Salata, White Wine Poached Pears & Balsamic Vinaigrette, minus the cheese. The sweet balsamic dressing and poached pairs definitely made this dish. I wish it had more! Oh, and that drink in the background was tonight's special and rightly so because it was delicious. Props to the bartender for that concoction. I had walked by @toritotapasbar a few times, but never managed to pull the trigger - until today. Upon walking in I was pleasantly surprised by the cozy atmosphere and even though it was just a bit past 7, it was decently loud. The menu was pretty easy to choose from as there wasn't a huge selection so I opted for the Atlantic Cod Ceviche.
