facebook.comIt is with great sadness that I announce this years fall classic final score. After a hard fought game team Ironside defeated team Cripps 20-17. As a result, I and Dave McArthur (makes sense to me) will be wearing suits on Sunday. In addition, Ethan Skinner will also wear a suit. I have developed several strong excuses for why the results were the way they were and I will be happy to share this with everyone next Sunday. On a separate note it was a total blast and the rain held off. Thanks to all who played and those who contributed to the BBQ. Rob

And, so, it begins. The much-anticipated draft for our second annual baseball game. Who will come out on top? Reigning champion, Pastor Andrew, who defeated Pastor Rob's team 22-1 last season? Or will Pastor Rob make an epic comeback to reclaim respect, honour and dignity? Join us on Sunday at West Deane Park for a BBQ and baseball game to find out!

Living out our faith can be a challenge. The further away from Biblical truth our country travels, the more challenging it will become. As the church is pushed further to the margins, we are forced to ask ourselves, "How are we to live and minister in this ever changing culture?" In Peter's letters to the exiled churches, he both instructs and encourages on this matter. When the church experienced persecution and suffering, it answered in worship. Peter would encourage the church to rejoice in their suffering and to live within the surrounding world as a testimony of the love and goodness of Christ. Join us this Sunday, as we gather together and begin our study in the Book of I Peter. This Sunday ... I Peter 1:1-9, "An Open Letter to the Exiled Church."

Camp Widjiitiwin
Last week, 67 kids from Capstone and our community spent the week in Huntsville at Camp Widjiitiwin. Camp is an awesome place for kids to make new friends and lifelong memories, grow in confidence and faith, and learn from inspiring leaders and role models. Thank you to our generous Capstone family for making this possible. It was a week they'll never forget. Thank you to Iron & Bragg Photography for capturing all of these wonderful moments!

Capstone Day Camp 2016
We had a fantastic week of Capstone Day Camp! More than 50 kids had a ton of fun with our awesome team of volunteers. Each child was able to choose their own summer adventure, registering for any electives they wanted: cooking, lego, drama, minecraft, jiu jitsu, and everything in between. It was such a memorable week. We can't wait 'til next year!
