The closed or endonasal approach is the traditional way where incisions are made in the inside of the nose and the changes of the nose carried out through these cuts. The open or external approach is where an incision is made in the skin between the nostrils and the skin is elevated off the cartilage and bone allowing us to directly visualize the changes that are being made. Dr. Gantous will take time after your assessment to discuss the pros and cons of each approach and help you decide which is best for you.
