Esther is passionate about cooking. As a baby, she cooked with Lego and pretend all the colorful blocks were ingredients and sauces.
She pursued a successful career as a piano teacher, yet throughout the years she maintained her keen interest in cooking, and made sure she hung around whenever top chefs made statements in the kitchen.
Esther graduated with Le Grand Diplôme at Cordon Bleu, and a double certificates of "Culinary Arts" and "Food & Media" at George Brown College. She was also a pupil of Mrs. W.M. Lui, a Chinese culinary expert.
Esther is currently a columnist for the Gourmet magazine of Ming Pao Daily News (Toronto); she also runs a Gourmet website misschankitchen.com, where she shares her favorite recipes with fans.
When Esther is not cooking, she is usually spotted lingering around supermarkets, farmers field, kitchen warehouses, Homesense & Winners.
